Richard Binnie
"Johnstone Wheelers Edinburgh Chapter" If any other parents etc are going through with their kids to Ingilston this Saturday & Sunday and are interested in trying some new roads through that way let me know. Would be ideal to get out for a few hours each day, after all these kids are getting harder and harder to keep up with Richard btw don't have a clue where to go, suggestions welcome (polite ones please)
Guest EPCC
Why don't you contact west lotion clarion on the web and try to arrange with them other than that the two bridges is a manageable 50 mile route V fourth and kincardineB
Committee Alan McLean Posted February 9, 2011 Committee Report Share Posted February 9, 2011 Richard I'll be there plus a few others I suspect. Lots of good routes out to Linlithgow etc. Suggest you prepare for a two hour easy ride and I'll meet you there. I may be helping but, if not, then I'll be out. Committee Alan McLean Posted February 19, 2011 Committee Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 Hi Our younger riders had a great session at Ingliston thanks to Mark McKay, BC Olympic Talent Team coach, and colleagues from Scottish Cycling. Kenny and Martin were full-on coaching and the rest of us helped out. Over a hundred riders attended, ages 11 to 16. Two full days of close bunch work and circuit racing combined with turbo and roller sessions. How many of you old folk are comfortable changing positions in a fast bunch of 70 on a tight circuit? Great fun to watch. Lots of Jets there. Coaches, parents and riders learnt a great deal and we expect to see some results coming through later in the season. We love Linwood's grassy slopes but we are always looking for traffic free tarmac so if you know of any vacant roads/industrial estates please let us know.
