The Jets have been awarded two donations to funds, which we can use to buy equipment and training kit. Daily Record Sporting Heroes: £500 Last year the Johnstone Jets was chosen by the Daily Record and Strathmore Spring Water to receive funding towards equipment, kits and/or coaching as part of the Daily Record Sporting Heroes Campaign. We used this money to buy our 'race kit' - marker stakes and tapes, stopwatches, barrier tape, marshalls' vests and walkie talkies. I found out today that Johnstone Jets Youth Cycling Club has been selected again this year to receive another £500 funding towards equipment, kits and/or coaching. We give the Daily Record a shopping list, and they buy the kit for us. BT Community Champions This is a fund run by BT which supports youth sport clubs and other community projects where BT people help out. On Friday it was confirmed that we have been awarded £230 by the fund, once again to spend on training and coaching kit. I know a few Jets parents are on here.
