I seem to have included an 11 mile M8 detour that I'm almost certain we never took. But maybe that's how Joyce and Lesley got so far ahead of the bunch at Bishopton. Dave McKellar piloted for Aileen and he boldy set us off for Largs via Erskine but u-turned somewhere before Greenock. Frank didn't fancy a coffee and cake at Largs and went straight up the Haylie? Donald preferred to race straight to work in Paisley. Campbell, Zdanik, Chung, Dennis, Mike and I took the easy way round by West Kilbride. Alan McLean says, "cycling is the new black".
