Meeting at Clubrooms at Miller Street Johnstone. 9.30am Heading to North Ayrshire via Bowfield Hill Howwood, Hessilhead, Barmill, Auchentiber, Stewarton Road, Bloak Road to Dairy for coffee stop. Return via Kingston Road and Barrhead. Distance approx. 40-45 miles Suitable for newcomers to ride in a bunch who can do 25-30 miles solo at a pace of 14- 15 miles per hour. We regroup at the top of hills and no-one gets left behind. Just turn up at Miller Street shortly before 9.30am with your bike, money, a spare tube and enthusiasm and we will keep you right. Dave

  4. Clubrooms Miller Street 9.30am. Route vis Bowfield, Burnhouse, lanes to Auchentiber,Torranyard, Benslie and on to cafe Tournament in Park. Return via Lylestone Barmill. Approx 40 miles return and group stays together. Ideal for newcomers and returners. Mudguards should now be fitted for winter, but grace allowed for a week or two. Remember clocks go back this weekend, so extra hour in kip. Dave

Heading to Stewarton area via Howwood,Lochwinnoch, Beith, Barmill, Auchentiber, Bloak Road and up to the Dairy for coffee stop. can return via Kingston Road and Neilston. Should be about 40miles return at an easy pace. Regroup on any hills. Wrap up as could be coldish.All welcome. Dave

  7. Meeting clubrooms Miller Street Johnstone at 9.30am a gentle run up Bowfield hill and through the lanes and villages (Barmill, Dunlop)to arrive at the Mill for a coffee stop. Return via another route for approx 45miles. Regroup on any climbs and keeping pace to suit all. Newcomers welcome. Dave
  8. Provided the weather holds, heading to Troon on Sunday. Meeting clubrooms 9.15am Miller Street. Route via bowfield, Dunlop, Stewarton, Crosshouse, Dundonald, Loans and then coffee stop at Troon front. Pace is around 15mph on flats and regroup on hills. This is in excess of 50miles return but is manageable in a bunch. all welcome. Dave
  9. Good run on Sunday. Eight made it to Bagel Basket down Haylie Brae and retun via Brisbane Glen and Kilmacolm climb. A few well earned refreshments in Amaretto for some.
  10. Meet clubrooms Miller Street for 9.30am depart. Heading down cycle track to Kilbirnie and then up to dams and down Haylie Brae to coffee stop at Bagel Basket cafe. Return via Brisbane Glen for approx 45miles. Speed is around 15mph and regroup on hills. No-one is left behind. Dave
  11. Heading for Eaglesham moor this Sunday. Route is up Bowfield, Lugton,Dunlop, Stewarton,Kingsford, Clunch Road to A77 cycletrack and cut off for Windfarm visitor centre for coffee break. Return via Newton Mearns, Barrhead, Paisley. Approx 45 miles and steady up hill all the way to visitor centre , with reward of decent on way back. Suitable for newcomers as flat pace is around 15/16mph and no one is left behind. Regrouping at top of any steep climbs. Meet clubrooms at Miller Street Johnstone at 9.30am. All welcome Dave
  12. Heading north this weekend. Meet clubrooms, Miller Street for 9.30 depart Route to Erskine Bridge via Georgetown Rd. Dumbarton via cycletrack, then Bonhill Rd to Balloch and coffee stop at Loch Lomond. Approx 45 miles return and open to all new and old. Dave
  13. 9.30am clubrooms Miller Street. Heading to sunny Largs this week. Route out via cycle track to Bridge of Weir, Kilmacolm, cut off for Auchenfoyle Rd and down Kilmacolm Road. Whin brae to old Largs Road and then Brisbane Glen to Largs and coffee stop at Bagel Basket cafe. Return to be decided. This will be about 50miles and fairly hilly but no-one is left behind and will be a nice steady pace. Dave
  14. Good run yesterday. 11 left Miller St including Ethan on his first bunch run. A twisty route through the lanes and a brisk pace on the way back along the social route. Coffee and cakes taken outside the Mill in warm sunshine 🌞
  15. Meet clubrooms Miller St Johnstone 9.30am Gentle run to Kilwinning at relaxed pace, suitable for any first timers. Route via Bowfield hill, Hessilhead, Burnhouse, Torranyard, Benslie and then through Kilwinning to Mill for coffee stop. Mainly on quite roads with a few hills. Approx 45 miles return which is easily achievable in a bunch run. Bring your bike, some cash for coffee and a spare tube and join the fun. Dave
  16. Meet clubrooms Miller Street for 9.30am depart Frosty weather permitting, route of approx 35miles planned around local area, Houston, Kilmacolm, Bishopton with some hills included. Coffee stop as always and suitable for anyone trying a bunch run for first time as pace is leisurely and guidance will be given by the friendliest cycle club in Scotland. Captain Dave

Route is Kilmacolm, Lochwinnoch, Stewarton via Belltrees to The Mill House for coffee stop. Return Via the Dunlop to Neilston Road and then either Dalek hill {lumpy} or Barrhead / Paisley and beer at the end. Approx 35=40 miles and all Welcome for a few hills.. Have a good one Dave
  19. Run to Dalgarven via West Kilbride Leave clubrooms Miller Street at 9.15am and head down cycletrack to Kilbirnie at easy pace. Road to Dalry then West Kilbride Road. Through village and then left along High Ardrossan Road to join A78 for 2 miles then back roads to Dalgarven for coffee stop. Return can be decided with total miles around 45miles. All Welcome. Dave
  20. Great run on Sunday with 23 cyclists including jets, parents,oldies and newbies. Met up with the Intermediates on Ferry home and up through Greenock, Port Glasgow. All the photos are on Strava and WhatsApp group, but i don't know how to get them onto my old PC here. Dave
  21. This weeks run is a bit longer than usual, hopefully in bright sunshine. Leaving Clubrooms Miller St at 8.15am to cycle to Wemyss Bay, Route is along cycle track to Kilmacolm to Port Glasgow via Clune Brae, pick up Inverkip Road to Wemyss Bay ferry Terminal for 9.45am Ferries to Rothesay, Colintraive and Sandbank to Gourock. Lunch taken at Dunoon. Run can be joined as far as Wemyss Bay and carry on to Largs if not comming over the water. Other options available are to drive to Ferry (leaves at 10.05am) or even train via Bishopton line to reduce mileage as will be approx 75 if cycling full route out and back to Johnstone ⛵🚤🚢 Dave

Route via Bowfield, Lugton, Dunlop,Stewaton, Kingsford, Clunch Road to A77 cycle lane and up to visitor centre for coffee stop. Return via Kingswell, Ayr Rd cycle lane, Malletsheugh, Neilston. A fairly hilly route but nothing too steep. Around 45miles return. All welcome. Dave.
  24. Back to Tournament cafe in Eglinton Country Park but going by a different route. Clubrooms Miller Street for 9.15am depart. Route via Bowfield hill, Barmill, Dunlop Church, back roads to Torranyard, Benslie, Kilwinning. Nice quiet rolling roads and hopefully dry roads at 30 miler pace.. Return route can be agreed at coffee stop . Dave
