  1. Guys,

Many thanks for the help today it was a pleasure being out there with you. I'd be lying if I siad I was not hurting a little now. Missus has promised a back massage tonight so every cloud does have a silver lining!! I will not be able to make it next weekend as I am flying to Plymouth on Sunday afternoon but hope to rejoin the group on 29th. Thanks once again I thoroughly enjoyed it especially the Venice Cafe.

  2. Paul,

Many thanks for the info. It sounds like a challenge but as a hardy Royal Navy CPO I will give it a go assuming there is no ice on the roads on Sunday. Not sure how many turns I will do on the front but will try and do my fair share!!

Hope to see you on Sunday morning.

  3. Have only just joined the club and have been out with the 30 milers once but am interested to up the mileage as stepping up to half ironman this triathlon season. Can someone give me some rough details on where the group meets, approx distance and an honest opinion if I am up the task. I will then decide if this group is do-able? I generally cycle 3 times a week with 3 spinning classes in winter and a decent ride of a weekend. Any assistance would be much appreciated as don't want to embarrass myself or hold people up due to lack of ability.

  4. I am a complete idiot, read the post wrong turned up at Barshaw Park at 0905 on Saturday. Cussed and moaned until 0920 then set a big gear and went anaerobic to Johnstone trying to see some yellow and blue cycling jackets. Managed 2 hours on my own but looking forward to next weekend already - will read the posts more carefully.

  5. Can someone post the address of the clubhouse as have only recently joined the club and have not got there yet. Alternatively Greig I could meet you at Barshaw Park at a given time - 0910?? Fingers crossed for the weather and no cross winds this weekend!!

  6. Thanks to Greig for introducing me to group riding albeit only a hardcore 5. Really enjoyed it but not sure my wife is happy with having my very dirty Bianchi in the dining room. Hope to see you all again very soon, hopefully at the weekend weather permitting!!
