From John and Stevie
Thanks to Dennis and Morag for the super hospitality.
A pity about the foul weather, still good to meet up with with some of the wheelers and others.
Cheers
John.

Hi Tony
Stevie, and I would like to thank you and the other guys for a great day out.
It was good to meet up with you again. A pity the weather turned a bit nasty near the end, however that's Scotland Lights on at PM in early September.
The café stop was something different, worth a visit on its own.
Thanks again.
John.

Hi Guy's

Hi guys,
I was a member of the club some decades ago although I have no doubt been long forgotten.
Anyway, intend to dust down the old Holdsworth and make a comeback on Sunday.
I know I have mooted doing this for the past few weeks but have being doing overtime
every sunday as I have to get all the giros issued to ensure my clients have a nice xmas.
the customer is king.
I'm sure some of your so called clients will be overjoyed your putting in all those extra hours, while the vast majority of them are searching an non existing job market

Everybody's lonesome for somebody else
But nobody's lonesome for me
I shine up my bike and I slick down my hair
Put on my Sunday bib but I ain't going nowhere.

Apologies from me, working.

Ben,
Best wishes in your new venture, you must do what you feel is best for you and if you ruffle a few feathers that's life. Paisley Velo, under the leadership of Willie Cosh seem to be putting together a strong team, which can only be for the benefit of cycling in this area.
Good Luck.

John, you have been milking this cold for the best part of two months. Time for you to
man up. I have been fighting the black death for over a month now without so much as
a whimper. Not to mention my intermittent trench toe and snow blindness.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
George My Dear Friend,
Thank you for the concern, however when you were detailing your own ailments you omitted to mention one affliction, Foot in Mouth.
John.

Seems that there were about 35 wheelers out on Sunday, really cheers one up when one is bunged up with a cold,
John.

and checking my will is in order.

anybody up for 40-50-60 miles?
Someone other than fereneze johnny has to come out. Not that I don't like his company it's
just that if only the two of us turn up it will deteriorate into a spin to the coffee shop
and 2 hours talking about interior design and big brother/strictly.
Good news George, my wife has taken off with my wean, and her sister, for a girlie week in Dubai, I have my boy to look after (a grim task) so therefore tied up till my better half returns on Tuesday. Now as for your insults, even us ex airborne warriors have feelings!

I'm happy to go wherever. There's nowt wrong with your legs though, riding a fixed at that pace over that distance is a test for anyone.
George
Are your eye's like that because of Friday night.

Just to jolt your memory the plural for cake, is cakes. I should know as I paid.
Enjoyed your company today, hope the fund raising for The Marie Curie Cancer Care goes well tonight.

Less of the ageism and a bit of respect for your elders. The fereneze one has served this country well. Now on your bike (pardon the pun)

Will try to come out but will be at a fundraiser at the St Peter's Club in Paisley on the Friday so may be over trained. John, you should come along. I assure you a warm welcome. As for this cold you have had for the last month, I would call it man flu but I can preclude you from that as you are a big wummin. 'mon the buddies!

Billy'

What an adventure, man of the day was Iain Cowden, for finishing the soup! a better man than me. You did finish it Iain! I never thought I could be so happy to see a road sign at the finish 'Welcome to Galashiels'

George,
How could you be so cruel and uncaring, a poor deprived young lad who has probably never had a bike for Xmas. You should have shown some compassion, I'm sure you have a spare bike you could have given him.
How can that poor soul, have any faith in society when his heart rendering plea for a bike ends in a kicking, shame on you, conduct unbecoming a Joansin wheeler.
Hug a Hoodie!
John.

Hi fellow cyclist
This Is an event we are starting at Paisley Velo.
I thought it might be an idea for us to celebrate the beauty of steel bikes. With us taking our steel bikes on a run to Dunoon on Sunday 2nd June
If you do not have a steel bike try to beg or borrow one for the day. Hence the reason for the notice I am giving you all.
I know that some of you have some old bikes and if it is something you would like to do, at this stage it is only another of my ideas, then it may well be something else we can add to our list of annual events.
We could go really old school and have a drum up as well.
I suggest suggest 2 groups to participate in.The stronger riders could cycle along Loch Eck to Stachur whilst the lesser mortals go via Loch Tarsan
To honour the era of steel bikes Paisley Velo Cycling Club have decided to mark this occasion with a competition
Points out of 10 will be awarded to the rider with the most authentic bike
Points out of 10 awarded to the rider with the most authentic clothing.
Combined points will receive an engraved tankard to retain for the year
I have a couple of friends from the JWCC that have shown interest and I hope it will be a well attended day
Single speed or fixie steel bikes are of course welcome !
This event is open to all cyclists so why not join us for a fun day.
John.
