I was put in touch with Vic Polanski of the Dundee Thistle cycling club and he managed to unearth a very good condition old Campag axle for me plus some Nouovo Record chainrings by way of a bonus.

I am on the lookout for a vintage Campagnolo ISO square taper bottom bracket set to suit a 1970's Record (Strada) double chainset. I think that this had the original part designation 68 SS 120 but anything considered to be able to fit this prestige chainset to my bike and hopefully get it working.

I am on the lookout for a new or used but serviceable condition axle for an old Stronglight 49D chainset. The axle should be stamped with a 120 (width) mark.

Please have a rumage in your old bits box and see what you can find.

Does anyone have any ideas where one can buy 27 x 1.25 wire on tyres with a round type profile for an old bike.

I used to run John Bull tyres but I don't think that they exist any longer but it would be good to find some even if they were second hand.
