  1. Hello all, sorry for hijacking your forum but I've sold a couple of frames and things on here in the past. Prefer it to the carbon footprint of punting stuff on eBay. I have a ENO hub, 135mm OLN built in to a Mavic Open Pro (32h). For those who don't of them- This hub has an eccentric axle that allows modern, horizontal drop out, frames to be converted into a single speed/fixed drivetrain. I had great hopes of getting a Ti frame, a la Airborne, Van Nich etc and getting a very posh fixie togther. Never had the cash for the frame and don't see myself doing it anytime soon. Hub alone new costs around £135. This wheel is 4 years old or so but with less than 200 miles. Any interest ? Thanks for now Steve
  2. Hello, I use route 75 every day and the real trouble spot at the moment is at Linwood, just after the bridge passes over the a737 from the Johnstone side. It's where there's an old railway bridge and they are building the new school. glass and litter are a real problem here. I often stop to try and brush some of the glass away with a branch, but most mornings there is some more around. especially bad after the weekend. most of the glass tends to be Buckfast bottle green I'm afraid. more of a sustrans engineering problem but this is also where part of the path remains rough and unfinished- not good for wheels. other trouble spot is beside the coal merchants in Bridge of Weir, where you pass under the bridge. anywhere the teenagers gather tends to have glass and debris eveywhere keep up the good work and good luck
  3. I might do this this summer. anyone cycled to Oban before ? I'm keen to know which route is easiest (ie least lumpy ) especially for the trip there, ferry to catch, must make it on time. bit more relaxed about homeward bound trip. In my mind's eye the Inveraray route is easier than the Crianlarich road although slightly longer- think that I might be talking boz though anyone ? Steve
