  3. Oh, the internet is far too slow tonight :icon_comp_rage:icon_butting_comp

Obviously want Cav to win, but...

    Ramsay,

I agree TV is a great call, unfortunately he does not seem to be on the start list

Maybe stick cav in, he needs our support Oh ya dancer !

  4. Duncan, sometime between 2 and 3 at a guess. Usual variables apply. Mechanicals, cafe stop, number of bodies and how long you spend at the front towing us along.

    M

    towing you say

ah, well then, er, you see..... A wee bit of help.

    ps. In negotiations!

  5. Flat and fast Sunday was last Sunday. Suggesting a run to Aberfoyle. Proposed route - Miller St., Bridge, Bearsden, Strathblane, Kilearn, Balfron, A811,Buchlyvie, Arnprior, Thornhill, Port Montieth and Aberfoyle. Cafe stop in Aberfoyle with fingers crossed for al fresco coffees etc. Return via Gartmore and Drymen. If time pressured to get home to watch Olympics then as brisk run down the A81 before cutting across for Drymen.

Usual depart at 09.00 from Miller Street with meet up with others at the bridge.

    Any takers?

    M

Any idea what likely finish time would be for that?

Olympics and family pressure. Not necessarily in that order

  6. Yeeeehaaa

Did 1072m in 1.58.58. And it's official on strava. If the challenge police (Alan) check they might think a discrepancy as finish height a bit higher on the map, this is because I finished at my house and I have the privacy setting that it does not show 500m around my house.

Route was basically every back road climb between Lochwinnoch and bridge of weir then some up Bowfield way.

Also I notice on my strava list that I actually achieved the challenge on 13th June, can only think the gps recalculated as I thought I was 7m short. Duncan - did this pre date your monumental achievement?:grin:

Do I get to set new challenge then, do I, do I

Oh ya dancer !Oh ya dancer !

Chapeau and oh so close but one day too late

    1145m in 1:58. 12 July. Oh ya dancer !

    Duncan

Ps. Please think up a good challenge for Alan.

  7. The pre-race selection is hurting but that's the price for being organised for a change. Am I able to change my ITT selection for the second last stage?

why not? surely colin will allow it, providing its before (day before). were you thinking of dumping poor tony then?

  10. Was outside the shell garage on PRW, driver was.turning in and presumably not looking.

Damage to me was some bust ribs, bruised shoulder, hip and knee. Damage to bike, another ergo lever! Think I did ok.

3 hours without seeing a doctor was enough, so home for dinner.

    Phil,

just a caution, if you do have broken ribs, then you are at risk of a pneumothorax (collapsed lung). This can be very serious and would need urgent attention. Any suggestion of breathlessness, get attention.

This is unlikely, but a potential risk. Trying not to sound like Dr Doom.

    Hope you heal quick
