anyone know why gps goes a bit mental sometimes? Any way of stopping rogue recordings?
i see your using the android strava app alan it might be a fault in the gps on your phone
-
finally got round to trying strava on the way back from lochwinnoch today
-
-
wont be there i have the paisley rememberence ceremony to attend
-
im not a member YET but being unemployed atm i do have a lot of time on my hands currently i help run the paisley.org.uk website and do a lot of voluntary stuff promoting paisley
-
too fast for me then
-
im no like that newbie turns up and says "oops forgot my wallet" aye right i considered trying to catch you lot at erskine but decided to just stay home and fettle the bike couple of gears were jumping
-
got to johnstone about 9:20 and realised never had my wallet so turned back home
-
i'll be there unless the heavens open in morning
-
ive been recommended Conti Gator skins or Schwalbe Durano
-
Nope dont need tubes but i do need to change the tyres on this bike for something more suitable for winter and puncture proofing , any suggestions (clinchers)
-
better off on the roads than the cycle track going by this mornings run
-
i was on a yellow carerra with a yellow altura night vision jacket george (i know its not a top spec bike but will do me over the winter to get my fitness up )
-
george did you go along the cycle path ?? i met two cyclists just at the bridge over the bypass but they were not wearing wheelers tops
and indeed it was a bit dicey on the path
-
Oh i think my sense of humour is intact after turning up at miller st this morning and was only me and richard ended up having a blast down to lochwinnoch and back and encountered hail rain and sunshine
and grieg glad to hear nobody gets left behind i know the route well but the would rather avoid the cycle path cos i dont think its the best section for road bikes especially from maryhill to town
-
richard i headed down to lochwinnoch and back and same got drenched and was surprised at the hail i encountered maybe the others saw the weather and thought better off it
nice to meet you this morning anyway
-
what sort of pace will you guys be running tomorrow ??
suitable for beginners/returners ?
-
I know kenny but last time i used clipless i had them done up with little movement and had some problems adjusting to them so this time im giving the joints a wee bit of freedom till i get used to them and then switch to the red cleats
-
guess i should have asked for advice first before taking the plunge but you live and learn but i got a good deal on the pedals and giro road shoes so cant complain
-
im sure i'll get used to them only done about 20 miles with them and the road bike so far i have a hybrid and a mtd both with flat pedals
-
janza i have the sl shimanos with the yellow cleats to allow a bit more float
george they might have become de-rigour 85 but only time ive used clipless when i was doing MTD racing back in about 89-93 never used clipless on road and so far its led to a few comedy moments
-
Is it just me or do they take some getting used to ??
does everyone use clipless or there any old school diehards ??
-
ok first 10 mile run on the road bike and gotta say it was fun but hard work, forgot the different muscles groups in wrists , forearms and shoulders you use compared to a hybrid/mtb
and going from no cleats / toe clips to cleats and clipless seem to be giving my old knees a bit of grief
Hopefully though i will get used to it again and get fitter
-
thinking about tagging along got a road bike and even sorted out some clipless pedals and overshoes today so ready for most weather
might not be able to make it this week after all i forgot its the paisley fireworks event which is generally all day thing and i'm doing photography for paisley.org.uk
