do you know anyone in the in the bcf uci etc i can speak to ?
What you say is correct, but don't get me wrong, i am not trying to create a olyimpic team with specific training on a 36 month program, with intermittant peaks for specific evets etc. I was looking at education the guys about the benifits of free weights, correct posture and lifting technque, the very ground work your daughter used, no dought. This foundation would enable anyone who then wants to get into the free weights seriously to assist track cycling to do so seemlysy and safely (at his point if talent like Kayleigh was spotted they would jump onto the fully supported olyimpic gold medal convayer belt). All the east block countries school childen use olyimpic weights as default, our culture and heath and safety culture does not allow children to develop these basics
I personnaly have been using weights for 10 years on and off, and understand alot about the scientific application aspects weight training, but also know my limitations and understand my goal is foundation work.
It would be a shame if such a wonderful building is exclusive, then its a catch 22 - how do we develop grass roots track cycling, these are points i would like to address with the bcf / uci uk
