  1. Darryl,

Leaving the road racing to the side as you say but forgive me if I am wrong, I am sure there was no entry from the Wheelers for the Scottish TTT despite having sufficient members. Maybe this is the lure of a club that races. Competition for places on a strong team can be a good carrot. With likes of Jason Mc, Obree etc. producing the results maybe a team gold is the only real chance for the mere mortals with jobs!

Bit harsh to publicy question ones ambition but never mind I am sure Al isn't losing any sleep over it.

    See you soon,

    Ian

  2. Cycled to Tobermoray last august. The route I went was Erskine Bridge, Helensburgh, up to Arrochar, over "the rest" through Inveraray, along Loch Awe past Cruachan Power stn, turn left at Taynuilt onto back road into Oban through Strontoiler and Glencruittein.

Pretty unlucky in that I got a NW-erly all day so no head wind pretty much all the way. Main climbs are the "rest" and out of Inverary up to Loch Awe. Bit of a downer when you climb up to Loch Awe then have to go in the opposite direction for a while to get on to the A85 when you can see the road straght across the other side of the Loch.

    Great Cycle though!!!

  3. Vicky,

I have finally sussed where this speed is coming from. As I passed you the other day there in the Fire engine in deepest Maryhill I soon realised you are one brave girl. You have to put a fire out fast in Mayhill to avoid the neds and their :rockets, :smash and even :uzi and therefore you must also pedal pretty dam quick to avoid them too....

Lets see your time in the Summerston 10 Stevie, aero-dynamic carbon fibre baseball bat optional.....
