What about bringing the youngsters on? I have a twelve year old "brattess" who has a new bike and is "rarin to go" problem is there doesn't appear to be anywhere to go for her at the moment. Are there more members out there with juniors who want to get involved ? If so is there anything we could organise for them? Surely the best way to ensure that the club continues to thrive in the future.

Thouroughly enjoyed these runs last year and hope to make it on 28th . What about Glengarnock ? when will that be kicking of this year? Could we start it a wee bit later and let it run on a bit further into the year?

I am the club press secretary for the year ahead. I had a go at it this last season on a fairly casual basis and have managed to establish a few contacts in the local and national press who were happy to give our sport the exposure that it deserves. This year the committee have formalised the position putting the pressure on me to do a more professional job!!!. I believe that my goals are to use the local and national press as well as other medias where appropriate to ensure that the club, it's events, it's members, sponsors and all facets of our sport are promoted in a positive manner at every opportunity.

You all know how to contact me via the net with info etc and I would be happy to provide my phone number by private message to anyone who requires it . Judging by the way some of our guys and girls were riding towards the end of last season I will have no shortage of material to report on next year.

Totally agree with Ian. A very informative and interesting session. I think it would be fair to say that with a few tweaks of the old spanner and allen key some of us will get an almost immediate increase in performance. Now that can't be bad !

Only a complete madman would consider that this ride could even come close to being the least bit enjoyable! It is a route for goats,yaks, Sherpas and those who have inflicted serious head injuries on themselves while falling off their bike near Dunoon.

You have my attention! I would be a "definate maybe" at the moment but I would need to know a bit more about plans for the whole trip.

I could be tempted depending on where, when and how much! I managed to get a brochure for Club La Santa which is a sports style complex in lanzarotte. It is used by CSC pro team and mere mortals like ourselves.They do everything from coaching to hire of quality Cannondale bikes. I believe it can be reasonable depending on when and how many. Let me know what you had in mind. Oh, by the way there is a big f@*k off mountain over there.

The Extra has run a summarised version of two items sent in a wee while ago . One is on the Team Time Trial at Barrhead and the other is on Katrina getting the silver at Tattonhall. Better late than never I suppose!. These articles also went to the Gazette gp and the P.D.E. however I think that they went for Campbells PBP only. I haven't seen these papers for a while so I'm not sure! Anyone see anything ?

The Extra has published an article we sent to them on Campbell's exploits in France. That will be two out of the three (Gazette) that have gone for the story but have not printed the picture. Are they tring to tell you something Campbell? Want to buy a motorbike helmet?

Whilst impersonating a time trialist at Blairdrummond on Sunday 24th August

I spotted a rider on a road bike wearing a club top. He was not hanging around as I was approaching he turned off the main drag between the packers lane junction and the castle roundabout into the road off to the right . Couldn't see who it was as wasn't close enough. Is there a secret trainer in the club? Anyone going to burst?

I haven't seen anything on the smart groups or on the web yet but got a call from George yesterday re katrinas performance at Edinburgh. Following a silver on Saturday she won the gold in the pursuit on Sunday. Not only did she take the gold but she broke the Scottish record which has stood for seven years in her first go at this event. What a result!
