Reliability Run 1, Sunday 4th Feb Tour Of Renfrewshire

Recommended Posts

The first of the 2018 Reliability rides, the Tour of Renfrewshire, 40 miles and only slightly lumpy, is on Sunday 4th February.

All rides will leave from clubrooms on Miller Street.

Can we have a keyholder available to open the clubrooms prior to the first bunch leaving.

As normal, there will be three bunches with the slower bunch leaving at 9:00am, the second bunch leaving at 9:30am and the fastest bunch at 9:45am.

The route

Tea, coffee, soup, rolls, cakes will be served in the clubrooms at the end of the ride, donations of food gratefully accepted, please indicate what you will be bringing in your posting. One contribution per person across the 4 weeks of Reliability rides will mean a hearty snack for all at the end of each ride.

A non riding volunteer please to heat the soup, etc. for this first week.

If you don't feel ready for the full 40 miles at this stage in the season, don't worry there will be others in the same boat and there are various shorter options available. Just come along and work up an appetite for the soup!

Looking forward to joining this although somehow in my six years of JWCC membership I have never done this reliability.

Just to check though in case I’ve missed already. Is it 2018?

Planning to bring a wee bunch of Jets and parents along for this.

We are looking to build up our road miles just now ahead of our training camp in Berwick in mid march, so I am going to offer a two for one weekend to Jets. Our normal road ride on Sat morning, and then an outing with the JWCC on Sunday.

We will leave at 09.00 and do a shortened route, modified to miss out some of the main roads. We will aim to get back to the clubrooms at the same time as wheelers for a bite of cake.

Of course we welcome any wheelers for company.

Cheers

M

The forecast is looking good for a Sunday, so no excuse for not getting out.

I'm planning to join the 09:30 bunch. Still looking for volunteers to front up with supplies for post ride refuelling.
