2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted March 8, 2015 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Another superb Don Smith memorial. Fantastic to see Dot ( Dons wife ) still coming out to support this event. More wheelers than I could count. Pace in 0930 group started a lot more sensible than recent years. As soon as we got on the Irvine road the more traditional approach ensued. Go hard then harder until you drop. Great fun.

2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted March 8, 2015 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Tough but enjoyable at least until the Clune, cramped badly on the first ramp and after that was just a case of spinning to the end. Was going so slow up Phil's Folly that my Garmin kept autopausing thinking i'd stopped! Â Â Thanks to Kenny and Jann for the organisation as well as those that checked out the routes yesterday(and anyone else ive missed out), great to see it so well attended. gregbalden
2023 Subscriptions gregbalden Posted March 8, 2015 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Jeezo folks, coulda hung around a bit!! Only kidding! Great day indeed, I returned, finally, at 1400. Arriving literally to the last folks leaving! Â Hilarious! Â Got a quick coffee and headed home! I was miles off the pace! But! I completed it anyway. Â Thanks again Kenny and team!! Â Greg KennyS
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted March 8, 2015 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 As already mentioned really, really tough day out today. Can't honestly say that I enjoyed it all, not even the 30mph+ bit on the Largs to kilbirnie section ( yes, I and a few others turned right at Largs instead of finishing the route). On the other hand, I took over a minute off my pb on the Haylie, so that can't be bad. Â Maybe I need to do more miles.......
2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted March 8, 2015 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 As above. Tough but enjoyable. Always good to get out on the good bike. Also good to see the young guns of new Glasgow race team smashing it. Very impressive. Â Thanks to Kenny, Jann and the team for another great event. Committee Alan McLean Posted March 8, 2015 Committee Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks to Jann, Kenny and all the organisers. Â 0930 group and full coast run much overrated. Â Bagel Basket received a long visit and much custom from our small but elite bunch prior to the Haylie. martin
Alan Michael
Yeah great day... just gutted to go straight through Kilmacolm 🙈 what an idiot. After that struggled to catch on to 2nd group with Paul but still thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks alot to all the organisers ☺

2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted March 8, 2015 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Alan you did a grand ride today. At least you have a clear learning point from the run - know the route and be sure to remember it when you are out your tree with exertion.
