Committee Alan McLean Posted December 17, 2013 Author Committee Report Share Posted December 17, 2013 Anyone know what a decent 3k TP time is? Olympic women is 3.14, I suppose we could lose 2s per lap so maybe 3.38 if we are going well.

2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted December 18, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted December 18, 2013 A night of stylish, but futile racing from both teams tonight. The gentlemen picked up a time of 4.00, while the nowhere men clocked 4.06. Both credible times given the experience. Well pleased with our efforts. 2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted December 18, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted December 18, 2013 Found it tough, been coughing since the finish! I think both teams did pretty well, the technical parts like the start and the changes seemed decent without having done a pursuit before. It is a pity its just a once a year thing, would be good to have the occassional pursuit mixed into a track league night every few weeks. Guest EPCC
Much enjoyment apart from my lungs coming out my mouth, I think in hindsight we went a bit too hard at start and lost some time in the second half, my changes were not great not crap, but thats the first standing start i have done for a while it hurts. I was done with two to go so peeled off just as well as my coughing has still not stopped :twisted leer
Big Al
Well done to both teams, it's not as easy as some people make it look, a very creditable performance to all, it just takes a fair amount of practice and a lot of training to get it right! Feeling fine now despite illness, could be the combination of paracetamol, ibuprofen, sudafed, anti-histamine, Vicks, tiger balm, smelling salts, synex, benalyn, strepsils and red wine martin
Iain Cowden
Aye, well done to all right enough. Indeed, the standing start on a slope (not to mention the riding as a team) is something that merits care and practice! Thanks to Al for captaining the Nowheres and to all for riding at a realistic pace given the constituent parts! Iain
