Pies and pursuits (but mainly pies)

A night of stylish, but futile racing from both teams tonight. The gentlemen picked up a time of 4.00, while the nowhere men clocked 4.06. Both credible times given the experience. Well pleased with our efforts.

Found it tough, been coughing since the finish!

I think both teams did pretty well, the technical parts like the start and the changes seemed decent without having done a pursuit before. It is a pity its just a once a year thing, would be good to have the occassional pursuit mixed into a track league night every few weeks.

Much enjoyment apart from my lungs coming out my mouth, I think in hindsight we went a bit too hard at start and lost some time in the second half, my changes were not great not crap, but thats the first standing start i have done for a while it hurts.

I was done with two to go so peeled off just as well as my coughing has still not stopped :twisted leer

Well done to both teams, it's not as easy as some people make it look, a very creditable performance to all, it just takes a fair amount of practice and a lot of training to get it right! Feeling fine now despite illness, could be the combination of paracetamol, ibuprofen, sudafed, anti-histamine, Vicks, tiger balm, smelling salts, synex, benalyn, strepsils and red wine :D
