Not placed but not far off, took 5.5 secs off my PB, using a starting gate was interesting, pushed a quarter of a second early making an arse of the start so should have gone faster. Big Al Posted June 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 29, 2013 The starting gate clamps your back wheel in with air pressure clamps, you get a 12 second count down with a beep on 10, and then 5 4 3 2 1. Up and forward on 2, back on 1 then drive forwards (not too early!). 2 racing at a time, live timing on the scoreboard as you go round but if you start on the home straight you don't see your lap times as you go. Big Al Posted June 30, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 30, 2013 Well that's the pursuit done with, burst my tyre pumping it up, borrowed a replacement Zipp 808 from someone but relied on their tightening skills which meant it came loose out the start gate and I had to "fall off" for a restart. Someone gave me a Zipp front disc as a replacement thankfully!
