Tim Miller
I plan to be out if I'm not dead, unconscious, or in jail. The road surfaces are a bit heavy but this is a fine ride. Don't remember seeing any cafes on this route but then my glasses are usually too misted up to see them. Tim
2023 Subscriptions ArthurClan Posted April 18, 2013 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted April 18, 2013 Hi Greig, Technically the road between Stewarton and Newton Mearns is closed for re surfacing works. They have been working during the week and scaryfied the road from the Aryshire boundary towards Newton Mearns in sections!! They have laid base tar to some areas (really smooth!!) but this still leaves a 2 inch step at junctions with existing road surfaces. Will be passable as cars using it. Thought you should know. Tim Miller
Sorry but I'm going to skip tomorrow because my wife had an accident today requiring treatment at A&E, so I will be "nursing sister" for a day or so. I've told her she timed it brilliantly to coincide with the rain. Will be out next week. Tim
