2023 Subscriptions martin Posted October 12, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 Need a second set of rollers to stop undignified squabbles between Lewis and Danny in track centre at the new velodrome. Anyone got a set they could be persuaded to part with please?

So in the unlikely event that there are two Wheelers with rollers to sell, please get in touch.

GreigS
I've got rollers but there's something wrong with them cause I keep falling off them I'm not selling them till I've mastered them but if the club are short I don't mind lending them out Greig
james-maclaren
Hi, I recently got a set of Tacx Antares rollers for a little over £100. Can someone tell me if it is normal to get a clicking noise off them when they are in use? Should I just turn up the music? But it is a bit off putting when you are learning. Sounds a bit like the bearing in a roller is moving. Any suggestions? Regards James PS. I confess, it is not I who is using them.
KennyS
Mr Dooley had a fine selection of rollers and the like when I was 'looking in his window' last week
Members Richard
Maybe make sure all the bolts are tight, James. Is the noise definitely coming from the rollers, not the bike?
2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted December 10, 2012 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 Don't forget that you can hire them from theDrome at £5 for the night. I reckon that two people could share and still get the necessary warm down and warm up. At £2.50 each it seems good value to me...
KennyS
Took, my own advice and dropped by the shop today and picked up a bargain. a third off the retail price of a set of minoura rollers. 2023 Subscriptions charlie p Posted December 10, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 Kenny Depending on which set you bought cost you £50 or £70 . Seems a bargain to me. Will Dooleys do same deal for other jwcc members and if so which set did u buy Cheers Charlie
Administrators Jannza Posted December 10, 2012 Administrators Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 One of you should speak to Dooleys and ask for price for 3 sets with club discount.
2023 Subscriptions martin Posted December 10, 2012 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted December 10, 2012 hmm. how much? third off vs. third of
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Well how much are they then? A third off is great so long as it isn't a third off mega expensive....
james-maclaren
Great guys! Hindsight is a wonderful thing. £50 or £70 for new is much better than 2nd hand on eBay! Doesn't help with the existing problem though. All bolts done up nice and tight. Don't think it's a bike problem but will check this out. Thanks, James

Guest EPCC
James It sounds like bearings will be annoying but not fatal maybe strip clean and lube required Seems to be a common issue with these rollers Not that I use them jus been asking about prob the reason they were on flea bay
Daniel
Hi all i am looking for a set for as well - Daniel's dad Paul
KennyS
All club members are eligible for a club discount in Dooley's. no need to go in collectively. I happened to be in the right place (the shop) at the right time (yesterday) and happened upon a bargain.
Big Al
James, I bought a set off EBay too, very noisy, all the reviews I've looked at since say they use cheap crap bearings and end up very loud sooner or later
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Could someone please illuminate me as to how much these mystical rollers things are in Dooleys? All very vague.
