Phil Malcolm
Apologies for jumping the gun on this, but I saw the moving around of the 2 up champs and didn't want it to get lost in the mounting up of the calender. I missed out on it last year and am super keen for this! I am happy to lend a hand organising up to and including the road closure I understnad is usual, but i may need to be pointed in the right direction! Members Richard
I'd like a shot at this, too. I took the day off last year only for the date to be changed. Billy mentioned the weekend of the 29th September in an earlier post about confined events. Do we know if that date has been confirmed? 2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted September 20, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 Great work Kenny! Thank you! On a personal note though, it is disapointing, as I'm down south at a wedding, so won't be able to defend the title! Best of luck to all those taking part. 2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted September 28, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 Thanks Colin! That's why I took a year out, to work on the "race face"! Just remember, the harder you go, the quicker it is over! Have fun all, hope the weather is kind.
Phil Malcolm
That photo is excellent, the only problem from an aesthetic point of view is that you allowed youself to be photographed in the saddle on a hillclimb. 2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted September 29, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 29, 2012 Phil, Not trying to psych you out before tomorrow morning, but the key to that climb is staying seated as long as you can! Have fun! R
Guest
Big respect to all the hill climbers and I am so glad I crawled out of my bed to see the pain on their faces. Was very impressed how Billy can shift all that mass up a hill without rolling backwards!

Phil Malcolm
Richie, the Garmin I use tends to have a lag of a second or two between starting moving and starting recording... Thanks to Billy for pushing off, Martin for shelter and tunes and all involved for organising, was a great atmosphere and great fun. I even found my missing bank card up by the top of the road closure! Now I need to go find me some beer
