Of those that did appear-Mr Couttie mumbled something about having left his curling tongs plugged in and baled at Bishy, Messrs Christie & McGinty made the most fleeting of cameos and baled at Port Glasgow. To be fair it was pitch black, battering down and blowing a gale by then. Only the fantastic four of andrew, charlie, Davie B and the ever willing George did the full loop on a grim day. Charlie disgraced himself by studying my large derriere for long periods before every 30 sign before swooping past me. The sly old fox that he is. What's the score for Saturday? We met Ian mcg Ian Cowden and kenny christie at bishop ton though they only stayed with us till the clune where they turned off in search of better weather. Ian couttie had already decided o call it a day at bish. Having left the wise men the rest of us battered on to Largs for a well earned latte then up the Hayley with the wind at our backs.
