A great day of racing at Bellahouston with several national silver and bronze medals won by our Jets.

Thanks to Glenmarnock, marshalls and organisers.

Also a big thank you to the surprise guest who presented the medals.

We had Lance in Paisley on Tuesday and now this on Saturday in Bellahouston! Formal results awaited but here is a shot of the Youth C race podium for the girls.

Well done to all our riders and thanks again to CH for making it a very special day for riders and parents.

The future's bright, the future's yellow and blue.

A great day's racing with Lewis S taking 2nd in the Non-Championship Under 8 race behind an impressive young man from Border City Wheelers on a beauitiful mini Trek road bike. Eve G took the third place on the podium.

Lewis M fought his way round in an epic U12 race to secure Bronze place in the Boys with Alana S and Katie McL securing Silver and Bronze respectively in the Girls

The Boy's U12 podium is on the following link http://www.flickr.com/photos/39241166@N ... 988052815/

The biggest disappointment of the day must have been on the part of Sir Chris who lost out on the opportunity to pull on the Jets Jersey for this photograph following 'advice' from his Management Team ;-);-)http://www.flickr.com/photos/39241166@N ... 988052815/ (maybe they thought it would be a bit tight on him  )

A great guy who took the time to sign everything asked of him (as demonstrated by Alan's post), chat with everyone and looked as though he would happily have stayed all day to enjoy the racing with everyone else.

A huge thanks and well done to the Glenmarnock for putting the event on and also to Scottish Power Renewables for their continued support of Scottish cycling

Sir Chris had earlier visited the new Whitelee Wind Farm Visitor Centre which will be open to the public in a few weeks time along with some 90km (?) of trails for cycling / walking which I have been told are of a quality better than your normal Forestry Commission roads.
