Committee Alan McLean Posted January 25, 2008 Committee Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 Planning on joining this for serious bunch ride with bail out option when dropped. If interested please see my post to Jim Daly in "club runs". Apparently up to forty-five riders.
Stevie Blom
Alan , It was actually 52 Riders - which made it severly dangerous down the lochside , a large mixed range of abilities had the bunch a Ripple effect causing chaos leaving riders spread out 4-5 men accross Thankfully Wee hills such as the Cameron Hill splits the Slower guys/Gringos from the rest of the pack which made it That more Safer. Intends to be Super Fast this weekend
Committee Alan McLean Posted January 28, 2008 Author Committee Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 Hi Stevie Guys at the front were still spread out two or three across the road but I was hanging on for grim death in the tail of the bunch where it was a case of "follow that wheel." coby
I was out that day but never saw you Allan, I did see the lean and mean Stevie at the regroup stop and as I went by him on the 2nd sister, not often I claim that so its in my diary. Committee Alan McLean Posted February 11, 2008 Author Committee Report Share Posted February 11, 2008 Hi Coby Could it have been another day. I don't recall seeing Stevie either. Mind you it was a pretty big bunch and, apart from the stops, all I saw was a big bunch of faster bottoms. Might have a go this Saturday. Stevie Blom
OlA FROM EL CAMPELLO -ah folks what actually went on was torture for me , i was behind big kenny allens wheel going up the 1st sister but he lost the wheel ad let a gap go !!! I then had to go round himand get fellow team mate ian sim back onleading bunch up the 2nd sister so i put in an effort which resulte in brain haemorrage but in the end ian got on and claimed a top spot for the sprint which left me riding home in 39x23 It gets tough after not missing out on spells as i recall many many riders sitting in and not coming through..
