2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted May 31, 2021 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted May 31, 2021 Hi folks Now that we were getting used to riding in groups again, we have decided to resurrect the Wednesday evening social rides. These rides will take place most weeks, weather permitting, and are aimed at all members, whether they have just joined the club and want to meet people and practice riding with a group, or established members who just fancy a nice easy social ride. The rides will start and finish at the club rooms at Miller Street. Wheels rolling at 6.30 Distance: approx 30 miles. Pace: social/as dictated by ride leader, to accommodate all participants. 2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted June 2, 2021 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 2, 2021 7 of us set off from the clubrooms on a warm but windy summers evening. Stuart, Lauren, Dan, Alan, Kenny, Gary and me. Stuart and Lauren dropped out at Kilbarchan, but the rest of us carried on, staying together (mostly), helping out the riders that struggled with the hard bits, particularly once we got pas the 20 mile mark. We had a great tailwind on the way out, but that made it a little tougher on the way back, especially on the uphill bits, however, we all arrived back at the clubrooms together. Pace was slow enough to chat, quick enough to stay warm as temperatures dropped. A good start to the social runs.
