2023 Subscriptions charlie p Posted February 5, 2020 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 5, 2020 Any one experienced their hrm going sky high when it shouldn’t. Was out today and an hour n to ride hrm spiked to 180 then went crazy. Training peaks have congratulated me on a new threshold of 185 bpm and I got a new bpm record of 206. They should have sent me a crash team. My normal hrm threshold is about 150 and if I do over 170 bpm I go in to red. So has my body given up or does garmin sometimes go tonto. I had changed the battery on the strap last week but I have used twice since then and it was fine. may be my next purchase should be a defibrillator
2023 Subscriptions XXX Posted February 5, 2020 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 5, 2020 Don’t worry Charlie I get the same spikes , not sure what causes it but happens frequently whether on the turbo or in a group charlie p
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted February 5, 2020 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 5, 2020 I get that sometimes too. I put it down to a movement in the strap causing spikes. Don't actually know if that's true though. charlie p
2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted February 5, 2020 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 5, 2020 Sometimes happens due to salt build up on the strap - even if you rinse under the tap after each use. If you put it in the washing machine every so often (removing the sensor beforehand) then it should last a bit longer. charlie p
2023 Subscriptions PaulL Posted February 20, 2020 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 20, 2020 Had this issue with Garmins spiking, started using the HRM GEONAUTE DUAL ANT buy here which you can get in Decathlon and I haven't had any spikes at all while watching Netflix! charlie p
