2023 Subscriptions Codg1e Posted July 24, 2019 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 Seeing this article and wondering what local area's is... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-49080945 Thinking the hill up to Paisley Golf Club and the Elliston climb must be up there... where else would you say is steep? Committee Alan McLean Posted July 24, 2019 Committee Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 Definition is very tight, has to be surfaced with housing etc, not just a country lane. But 35%+ is totally insane anyway, Ellison might be 20% at very steepest. I only know that because I have to walk on anything 25%+.
Committee Alan McLean Posted July 24, 2019 Committee Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 For steepest 20m try the Lawmarnock Stinger. Prob 25%. I’d have to walk if it was 50m longer. On strava. The BoW boys love it.
Committee Alan McLean Posted July 24, 2019 Committee Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 Max stair pitch is 42% under Building Standards. Welsh hill is not far off that. (I am only idly posting while watching stage 17 TDf on Eurosport for footage of Luke Rowe punching Tony Martin, who said sportsmanship was dead?) Administrators Jannza Posted July 24, 2019 Administrators Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 There's a few in the Port - Barrs Brae, Glenpark Drive to Cycle path, Dougliehill Road. Worst I've been up in Scotland was the 5 mile climb in the Etape Loch Ness.

Is this " punch " substaniated? If so the expulsion was justified...I suppose.. Otherwise I thought the expulsion was harsh.
2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted July 24, 2019 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 24, 2019 Doesnt really count but the the climb up to Loch Humphrey (starts just on the north side of the Erskine Bridge) is brutal. First half is tarmac and a steady gradient then second half is gravel and kicks up to at least 25%. Surface is doable, but difficult, on a road bike on the way up but wouldnt fancy descending it. Try going up on a full-sus, we use it to get to the trails at the top, brutal
