Life Members chung Posted July 19, 2019 Life Members Report Share Posted July 19, 2019 Hi All, Last Sunday while enjoying a loop around Loch Katrine with Alex Mclean, he asked me a question which I found quite fun & revealing to answer! Given the recent exploit of Julian Alaphilippe in the Tour & Winning the Milan-San Remo race earlier on the year! So, the question is - If you were a Pro Rider: "Would you rather Win a Tour de France stage & get the Yellow (for a day or 2, not the overall in Paris, mind) or A Classics Monument (Milan- San Remo, Flanders, Paris Roubaix, LBL or Tour of Lombardi) ?" I know which one Martin Mulholland would rather want, so he doesn't have to answer! Just to get the ball rolling - I'm with Martin, I rather win a Monument, but it has to be the Ronde or Hell of the North ....... the cobble ones obviously! What's your thoughts? A stage win and a day or so in yellow are imo less prestigious.
