2023 Subscriptions KarenG Posted January 31, 2019 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 31, 2019 Not sure I'm fast enough, but anyone going out at 09:30? If not, barring ice, I'll be out with the 09:00 group.
Mark O
Aiming to be out with the 09.30 group. Won't be a race Karen. Hopefully the group will stick together, even on the ascents and ensure no one limps back to Miller Street on their own. Fully expect the 09.45 group to make the catch somewhere between Kilmalcolm and Lochwinnoch. PaulL and KarenG

Does this go along Westferry then up clune, Kilmalcolm, Lochwinnoch then the main road through howwood and Home?

We take the left onto Bridesmill road just before getting to Lochwinnoch then once in Howwood its the main road George
2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted January 31, 2019 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 31, 2019 Also George, the route goes up the Clune to the roundabout and then over the Wall climb to the top of the Whinn. It does not go to Kilmalcolm. George

There could be some KoM opportunities with a few well judged efforts in the 9 00 group. I'm tempted, but no, my flight is booked, have to go to Tenerife. We don't go to Kilmacolm.
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted February 1, 2019 Author 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 1, 2019 Snow is forecast for Sunday morning. There are a couple of options. 1. Leave as called 2. Push all the rides back by an hour 3. Mass turbo sesh at the clubhouse 4. Cancel Feel free to express a positive opinion, and I’ll make the call no later than 8am on Sunday, based on what I can see from my kitchen window.... 2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted February 1, 2019 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 1, 2019 Forecast looks like light snow shower or sleet - unless that changes to heavy snow or ice then my preference is leave as is. Pushing it back an hour might just give it a chance to settle on the ground, whereas if we leave at the normal time and it gets bad then there is the option to shorten the route. Mark O
I think we should leave matters as posted. If necessary amend the route as required, avoiding higher roads. People will know if the weather closes in and get sketchy to head home or back to Miller Street I’ll be out for the 09.30 group. Will bring intel from higher parts with me. thejanullrichdietplan
2023 Subscriptions KarenG Posted February 2, 2019 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted February 2, 2019 Weather permitting, looks like the 9am group for me. Are the groups in the Reliability Rides different to the Sunday groups (30 milers, Intermediates, Faster/ Longer)?

Generally though, the faster, fitter people will go in the faster groups. I will post up no later than 8am on Sunday morning about what we're doing. I quite fancy option 5 that Davie B posted, but Amaretto's won't be open until at least 11....
