Ive done a FTP test, guessing i can just apply my result to the programmes on BC. I dont really understand the zone jargon

Put your FTP in here:  https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/article/20120925-Power-Calculator-0

Then take a note of the zones, put them into Garmin Connect and bob's yer uncle :)
