Anyone thinking of going to rvv next year?

I'm going with a wee bunch of 7 Jets and dads and Chung and we have booked group accomodation. 10km from Oudenaarde, less than 100 for the weekend. May have some spare digs if any members are planning a trip. Give me a shout if so.

This is where we are staying http://www.buikberg.com/

would love to, as I have unfinished business with the Koppenberg. Will check and see if I can get the time off

Iain, it would be great to see you smashing the cobbles again!

Ah ......the Koppenberg, yes - it's always a bugger to keep going when all around you people are falling one by one, this doesn't help by the fact that it's narrow & almost always slippery :-(

I went up the Koppenberg on 3 separate occasion, but have only managed ONCE without un-clipping & that was because I did it on a normal day, not the event it self :-(

Don't matter, you've always got the Kapelmuur to look forward to. It wasn't on the route when you did it back in 2016 :-) .............. this one is a cracker too with the wall of spectator shouting in your face ............ almost like the pros :-)

Hope to see you on board the "Pride of York" next April

Cheers

Martin any ideas on costs etc??

Entry 50eu
We paid £380 for car and 4 people on an inside 4 berth cabin but you would expect that to rise as time goes on. Evening meal on boat another £15 each way.
We've rented a bunkhouse for the Fri and Sat nights. Total cost 1500eu, split between how many we get in. We are 16 at the minute, which means we are sitting @ £92. We have to bring sleeping bags or duvets.

Plus hunners for beer and chips.

Looks about 350 a head if there are 4 adults including as ferry price is up:

entry, ferry crossing, digs and fuel. Then some beer money so probs another 500 for beer?

Glen, just to be clear, is that £500 total for everything per head based on 4 sharing a car but without beer money?

So

ferry for a car for 4 adults with cabin  - £524 = 131 per head

digs 90

entry 50 eiro

 fuel 200 = 50 per head

so roughly 321 excluding food and beer money

fairly accurate but not exact.....

for 4 traveling just need to check the height of car isn’t over 2.4meter with bikes on

Myself & Glen are driving down. Hopefully with Mr Ian Carvill.

Room for one more, if anyone fancies it?

Just to maybe give the others a heads up, George:

Oudenaarde is the start & finish town for the 174km route, also our digs are approx. 10km or so from there :-)

You also have the Tour of Flanders Museum in Oudenaarde which is well worth a wee visit too, but you need to brush up on your Belgium/Flemish as the exhibits are all non English :-0

What Chung has forgotten to mention is that our digs are right beside this beauty, so very handy for practice on Friday afternoon :-)
