Always a good event, I've missed the past few because the Sam Dooley was the following day, but not this year.

My entry is in for this year. Who else?

If we get a decent turnout, we could make a real assault on the cup this year.

Intend to do it.

Looking at the results last year, the gales won and this was their fastest 8 riders so it would need everyone to be getting close to or beating their PBs and as im discovering that is alot easier said than done!

Also so far we have three riders riding the course, Sam Jan Iain , nobody else , remember the league course has a different start point and places a slightly different dynamic on the course compared to ours.

so if you serious about it why not ride the league to get some practice.

Ahem, I’ve ridden the league a couple of times this year, not that I troubled the podium.

Jann (do we still call him Jann) Is a 15 min man then we have Gerrard, Billy, James S, Stevie, Sam all capable of short 16 min rides, maybe Paul L too? If I can get my finger out it’s possible as well.

It would just be good to enter as a team “for fun”

Looking at tonights league results and comparing to last year - Fullarton were 3rd with 2 hours 11 mins 47 seconds (average of 16.28). JWCC had 7 tonight and combined for  1.55.40 (average of 16.31). So Fullartons time from last year and challenging for spot on the podium isn't out of reach.

There is one complication  - unfortunately Richard wont be able to count for the cup because of a rule banning those who have won Scottish medals in the last 3 years. Which is a shame because having someone capable of low / sub 15  would help a lot!

You saying Frenchman can’t hurt themselves for 15 minutes? Cedric must be able to knock out a sub 16.

Failed today in my attempt to go under 2 hours for 50 miles. So sore it took me 5 minutes to peel me off the bike.  So sore I’m kind of proud of myself

Yes, you are probably right about the French. They’re too smart :)
