  7. Sorry guys I'm not going to make it, I'm held up in work and in the same boat as Gerard.
  8. I have an eyewitness who was on a leisurely cycle round Arran and was lapped by Galeb so it definitely happened. However... it's not on Strava so he'll need to go and do it again
  9. Galeb that is absolutely fantastic! You will definitely manage the double before the year is out
  10. Night out on Saturday. I'm provisional, but if feeling rough will join 30 milers lol. :)
  11. Time constrained on Saturday, I can only manage out for a few hours or I'd come with you. If you're going for the double... wow you're gonna need a lot of food & energy... eat well and good luck!!
  12. Cheers for holding and timing guys! Was a good night!
  13. Was running a bit late this morning (surprise surprise) due to a dodgy stomach, but I got to the clubrooms at 8.02 to find Charlie & Galeb and no one else so was a but unsure how the day would go (expected a smashfest lol!!) but was pleased to see the number of bodies waiting at the bridge which means a good shared workload and a well disciplined bunch. We scooped up/met Michael at Arrochar so had ten riders out on this run. What a throroughly enjoyable ride through the military road to the Rest, with a short cafe stop at the van at the top. We headed through Hells Glen (my first time doing that section - was awesome with amazing views over Loch Fyne to Inverary.) A brief stop in Strachur to refuel and then it was the long stretch to the ferry. Not much waiting around for it thankfully we timed it quite well! Headwind home but still great weather and a great day on the bike. Cheers guys!! Some cracking photos taken, I really like this one (taken by Charlie)...
  14. Yeah Alex see you 8am clubrooms, Iain see you 8:30 (or 8:32!) At bridge
  15. https://www.strava.com/routes/19738575 Tells me my estimated moving time is just short of 6 hours, so we'll be back for 2pm without a cafe... half 2 with a cafe
  16. May the force be with you!!
  17. This is turning into a two-bidon ride for me... temp forecast to be 20C on Sunday, so will be warm so will probably take some extra food too just to keep energy levels up.in the 'heat'. Worth considering so you don't dehydrate or hit the wall
