  1. Weather permitting, Sunday morning run to Balloch. 9.30am clubrooms Miller St. Head for Erskine Bridge then cycle track to Dumbarton, Bonhill and Balloch for coffee. Return via cycle track besides river Leven . Just over 40miles but fairly flat. Post up if coming. You know you want to. Dave
  2. Bunch of 8 today for a lumpy run in the sun. Well done all and good catch up in Amaretto for coffee, scones and chips.
  3. Route plan for Sunday tour. Leave clubrooms Miller St 9.30am Houston, West Glen Road to Kilmacolm, Auchentiber Road to Port Glasgow, Dougliehill Rd, Kilmacolm, Quarriers, Bridge of Weir for coffee stop. All welcome at good steady pace Please post if coming Dave

  5. Six left clubrooms at 9.30am and headed up Bowfield hill. Carol, Mia, Carol M, Boyd, and newbie Gary . New tarmac to report at Rocky Road, Hessilhead Road and on return at Highfield to Kilburnie stretch. Tea and coffee taken outside at Mill in splendid sunshine. Thanks to all for company and well done to Gary in his first bunch ride. Dave
  6. Leaving Clubrooms 9.30am Miller St Johnstone Planning run to Dalgarven Mill via Bowfield, Hessilhead, Barmill,,Jamestown road and should arrive for opening and coffee at 11am. approx 35miles round trip. New members welcome. Weather looks good. Dave C.
  7. Warm night for the hilly TT tonight and 5 riders took part. Times as follows: Dave F 30.42 paid Scott 30.15 Alan 28.54 paid George 28.34 Gerard 27.52 paid. Good efforts by all and I enjoyed the beer in the Houston Inn on the way back.

Via Moss Road,Erskine Bridge,cycle track to Dumbarton, Bonhillill Rule of six will still apply to cafe stops therefore a mask will be required and track and trace details will be taken for group.   10. Heavy rain overnight and tomorrow morning. May go out later in afternoon if dried up.
  11. Was hoping to arrange a run to Balloch this Sunday leaving ,leaving Miller Street at 9.30am ,but as the weather forecast is for similar to today, it is unlikely to go ahead unless it changes. Dave
  12. 4 headed out today. Carol, Boyd, Brian ( rejoined earlier this year after a few years gap) and me. Track to Kilbirnie. back road to Highfield then Blair Road to Mill. Coffee. tea, scones and cake taken outside in brilliant warm sunshine observing social distancing off course. The mill has changed menu and JWCC are no longer on it 😢 Way back via MOD road where Brian peeled off to Stewarton. Good to get back out on in a sort of bunch and possibly heading for Balloch next week.
  13. Hi all. Now that we can have groups of up to 30 riders, time to start the Sunday runs for those craving company. Planning to head to Dalgarven Mill Kilwinning starting from Miller St and heading down track to Kilbirnie, industrial estate, MOD road to Blair Road and on to Mill. Social distances to be observed at start and cafe stop. I will need to take a register for contact tracing and please bring a mask. Meet Miller St at 10am for approx 40miles. Please post up if coming out. Will be good to catch up and welcome any first timers. Dave

Three braved the chill, Boyd, Mitch and myself.After a dodgy iced track to Morrison's, changed route to main roads and headed along Beith Road and up Bowfield hill to Lugton, Dunlop (Deep-water Fell) and on to Dairy for tea, coffee and scones. Dairy now has a coffee machine and can now do cappuccino, latte, flat white etc.Headed back same route in crisp clear air. Thanks to Mitch and Boyd for the company. Dave I cannot come out next week,so if someone wants to post up a route for the 26th, i can put it on the WhatsApp thingy.

  19. Depart 9.30am Clubrooms, Miller Street. Track to Kilbirnie, industrial estate, MOD road to B707 to Bloak Road to Dunlop Dairy outside Stewarton for coffee stop.(cheese/eggs). 35 to 40 miles at sensible pace along fairly quiet roads. Dave
  20. Six left Miller Street,in the rain, Elaine, Karen, Fiona, Mia, Graham and me and headed up Bowfield hill into dry. Made our way to Barmill and then onto Blair Road through puddles. Through the new roundabout at Highfield and then change of coffee stop to Aughengree Farm. Fully refreshed headed for the cycle track to Lochwinnoch and then up Johnshill. After a puncture and then a Hail Stane storm on the way up the group headed home. A better day than the forecast and good to get a good sized group again. Dave
