  1. Leaving clubrooms Miller Street at 9.15am and heading to west coast for sun and cool sea breeze. Route via cycle track to kilmacolm, Auchentiber Road to Kilmacolm Road, and down to Whin, up past Loch Thom and down Brisbane Glen to Largs and Bagel Basket for coffee. Return via Haylie Brae. Nearer 50miles return.All welcome, Dave
  2. Great run today, with 13 eventually at Croftamie when Kenny and Jerry joined us. Well done to Donald on his first bunch run with the Wheelers and the new cafe stop at the But n Ben passed the test with flying colours
  3. Heading North on Sunday to Croftamie near Drymen. Meet Clubrooms Miller St Johnstone for 9.15am start or 10am at North side of Erskine Bridge ( Bowling Green ) Route is via Georgetown Road to Bridge, Bowling, Dumbarton, Bonhill , and head up Auchincarroch Road to eventually reach Croftamie village. Will try a new cafe stop here. Approx 45 miles return trip. Dave
  4. Meet clubrooms Miller St for 9.30am. Route via Bowfield, Barmill, Auchentiber, Torranyard, Benslie, Kilwinning, Blair road to mill for coffee stop. Around 45 miles return at steady pace. All welcome. Dave
  5. Change of route today to avoid the high ground and the rain and mist, but it never worked. Route was ,Elderslie Main road to Paisley, Inchinnan Road past airport and onto new cycle path and bridge, Inchinnan. Erskine, through Bishopton and past Equestrian Centre, Houston Village to Bridge of Weir. Torr Road to Quarriers to Kilmacolm to cycle track back to start. Just over 30 miles in showers. Couple of newbies on their first run out with the group. Will try and arrange sun for next week. Well done today. Dave
  6. 30 mile run around local villages, Meet Clubrooms at Miller St Johnstone for 9.30am. Route via Kilbarchan, Lochwinnoch, Johnshill, South Newton, Auchenfoyle, Dubbs road, Auchenbothie to kilmacolm, to Quarriers and finish at Amaretto in Bridge of Weir for coffee. Suitable for potential new members. If you can cycle 20 miles solo then you can do 30 miles in a bunch. Just turn up with your bike, spare tube and money for coffee. we are a real friendly bunch and no one is left behind. Cheers Dave

  10. Meet clubrooms Miller St for 9.30am. Route via Bowfield, Hessilhead, Barmill, Auchentiber, Torranyard, Dunlop.towards Stewarton and into Dairy for tea/ coffee/ eats. Return via Uplawmoor. Neilston, Dalek hill to lapwing Lodge and down Auchengreoch Road to Johnstone. Just over 40 miles in total and all welcome. Dave

  12. 9am start clubrooms Miller Street Route to Erskine Bridge, Hardgate, Kyber Pass,Muddock, Strathblane, Blanefield,Dumgoyne, Killearn,Fintry.then up and over Crow Road and down to Lennoxtown for tea/coffee. Back via Strathblane, Hardgate and Bridge. Approx 40 miles Bridge to Bridge, so approx 55 in total from Johnstone.. Chung will be Run Captain for this route. All welcome at sensible pace. Dave
  13. Leaving clubrooms Miller Street at 9.30.am. Route via Bowfield, Hessilhead, Barmill, Jameston Moss, Kilwinning and on to Tournament café for coffee, cake, rolls. Mainly quiet roads and sensible pace. No one left behind . Suitable for all, oldies and newbies. Possible return via West Kilbride, Dalry. Will be at least 45miles Dave
  14. Clubrooms Miller St 9.30am Run to Stewarton area with coffee stop. Will be approx 40miles at sensible pace ...around 15/16 mph for any newbies wishing to join in. Mainly quiet roads and lanes. Dave
  15. Good run yesterday to the Windfarm with no mechanicals. 11 left Miller St to head up the Bowfield. Anthony and son Eaun, Alan T, Murray, Beppo, Chung, David C, Andy, Tom, Carol and Dave. 8 continued to the visitor centre where there was abit of a queue behind a large Glasgow Green group, (grrr) and after refreshments returned via Eaglesham Road, cutting off past Bonnyton Golf club to Newton Mearns, Barrhead and down Neilston Road to Paisley and to finish in sunshine.
  16. Trip to Whitelees Wind Farm. Eaglesham. Meet Clubrooms Miller St 9.30am Route via Bowfield, Lugton, Dunlop. Stewarton, Fenwick Road to A77 cycle path and then on to visitor centre. return via Bonnyton and Barrhead. A steady climb all the way up to the windfarm, but decending most of the way back. No-one is left behind. A good run to a quite isolated spot for anyone who has not been here before. Approx 45 miles return Dave
  17. Meet clubrooms Miller St Johnstone for 9.30am depart. Route via cycle to Kilburnie, Dalry, Fairlie Moor Road to Fairlie and then into Largs and coffee stop at Bagel Basket. Options for return but will be at least 45 miles return and hills involved. Good sensible pace as always and no one is left behind. All welcome. Dave
  18. Trip to Balloch, Loch Lomondside this week. Meet Clubrooms Miller Street for 9.30am depart. Moss Rd, Erskine bridge , Dumbarton. Renton road to Balloch/ Lomond Shores for coffee Stop. Fairly flat run of approx 45 miles, All welcome. Dave
  19. As last run to here was changed...try again for dairy just outside Stewarton. 9,30am clubrooms Miller street Route via Bowfield hill, Barmill, Dunlop along lanes to Bloak road and on to Dairy for coffee and cake. Approx 40miles return at relaxed pace. Dave
  20. Found this new run off at Bridge of Weir cycle track when out walking today. Torr road/ Horsewood road exit/entrance

  23. Short local run this week as time constrains on Mothers day. Aiming for approx 30miles with possible coffee stop at finish. Elderslie, Inchinnan, Erskine Bishopton Houston, Bridge of Weir. All your favourite villages. Leaving Clubrooms Miller St Johnstone at 9.30am, Remember clocks go forward this weekend, so do not turn up at 10.30am. Also mudguards are now not compulsory....it will not be wet from now on. All welcome Dave
