XXX got a reaction from P McDonald in Coach of the year
Since i have a bit more free time than planned I thought I would offer my congratulations to Coach Mul on winning the Scottish Cycling coach of the year , although I could never agree with Mul when I was a member , you have to give praise where it is due Sođđđđđđwell done Mul well deservedÂ

Top posting Billyđ sorry we won't be riding together for a while. You are hereby invited to the massive club Arran ride which I shall organise to celebrate the rebirth of club rides. Until then I'll see you and Mul on Zwift, once I work out how to join. Stay well.Â

This was a terrible ride today and I feel I owe it to you all to share my view:
1.  Too much focus nuero  muscular,  VO2 max, and threshold. Too many sweet spots and not enough zone 2. Just maximum rubbish with minimum gain.  Â
I was knackered by inverkipÂ
2. Riding in a slow cadence is almost universally accepted now as silly. You want to grow your quads - sprint flat out for 10s. Churning for 3 hours is like going to the gym and squatting the bar for 3 hours
. Really!!!. Slow cadence and wheel sucking is my mantra but could the fit dudes please stop increasing the pace. I not getting enough time to get out my banana.
3. This ride was not just time inefficient (we spent half our time free wheeling when we could have been on the sofa practising our duolingo Spanish) but more, now my legs are semi shredded for tomorrow. Â
Â
Think we could  have done with a bit more free wheeling.
4. Not even the social benefit of riding in a group. Either semi puffing or waiting for Billy in his big ring.
Â
Billy was smart and stuck to turbo on this horrid day. But you right. Only chat I got was from Andy when we got pumped off bunch in to Largs
We all have different goals I know. But this ride is ill conceived  I appreciate some guys like it. I wondered why Lynsey Curran refused to turn out - Iâd told her we were touring round the lanes  - now I know. It was a testosterone fix.  Câmon guys. We can do better than this.
Â
Lynsey Curran Was smart enough to look at forecast to conclude that this was madness
My suggestion is to stick to a long zone 2 ride. Throw in a few 10s sprints and if you like, 30mins at sweet spot.
if only !!!!
I appreciate this will involve reprogramming our very own Duracell toy, Â Charlie.
Never mind reprogramming I need a total reserviceÂ
I guess the forum is not for this type of comment. Wonât take offence if the moderators take it down. HonestÂ
And for those looking to hire a car from Alicante airport try Rentalcars.co.
Naw Billy giving me a lift.

XXX got a reaction from P McDonald in Mont Ventoux
Stay in Bedion at the foot of the long classic way up. There are three ways up I have done all 3 but the classic route from the car park in the town is the best and most well known, from there itâs fairly gentle out through the town then after a few Ks you take a turn and the mountain starts proper , through the wooded section with the average slope every 1k just to tease you , after what seems like an age you come out at the chateaux and you see the top and now it can be really hard if the wind is blowing if not itâs just hard summit is just over 2100m I think.
Orange is another fairly close town and within riding distance , your mate could try and join the three routes club by riding all three in a day but Bedouin is definitely the best routeÂ
If he wants a longer challenge ride the stage of a few years ago fro Vallence along the river then through some up and down countryÂ

Sounds good, Glenn but going to Billyâs end February/Start March so too soon after that for me.
He does know the routes but I find I have to wait ages for him at junctions to find out which way to go. Hopefully your route guide doesnât have Touretteâs.

A St Mirren fan commenting on entertainment value...,
Just phone Celtic Park. Wait 40 mins to speak to John Paul or Rosheen who will likely tell you to buy tickets online.
Best not discuss Cxxxxc on here. I was reported for doing so and deemed guilty of sectarian behaviour by our committee.
