  1. We are meeting at Erskine bridge for 0930h going through Dumbarton, Balloch, Tulloch road at Inverbeg and back through Helensburgh. Cake abstinence will not be tolerated and will be dealt with by a cafe stop.
  2. Fantastic evening for the Georgetown Road, well done to the newcomers and a big thank you to the time keepers and pusher offererist as it all adds up to my new p.b.
  3. By way of contrast the other bunch had a straightforward time, meeting at the bottom of the Clune before sailing on the 0900h ferry with the Cowans, taking our group up to eight ( Carol, David, Paul, Eric, Andrew, Alan, Graham and myself. We quickly made it past Loch Tarsan on the B836 and then up that climb to regroup. A steady pace up the A886 on a climb that just never seems to end, before the grin inducing, adrenaline shot of life reaffirmation that is the descent towards Strachur. Andrews suggestion that we do a chain gang along the side of Loch Eck then kept us going a fair pace and then on to Sheilas Diner. Jane met us at the diner and we waited and waited for the others and then gave up waiting, went for the ferry (minus Jane and Graham). After the ferry there was the usual undoing of the morning meetups as we retraced our steps to home and an end to our playtime.
  4. Andy Graham is leaving Kilmacolm at 0800h, check his post. I am meeting him at the bottom of the Clune at 0815h and we intend getting the 0900h ferry. Do post so we know if and where you intend joining us as you are most welcome. Normal pace allows plenty of blether on the steady sections so you will be fine.
  5. Not nice weather, but once your head is down it does not matter, so decent times. My only aim is to not get passed. Thank you to Iain for timekeeping, hope you feel better soon.
  6. Graham, we have not been out together for a while so could I meet you at the bottom of Clune Brae and if so at what time?
  7. I will watch this one, if many things slot into place I maybe able to come along.
  8. I will be out for this, but which route are others all planning?
  9. Sticking bar tape on your gloves instead of the bars will save weight. Top tip.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=257997911207578&id=100009921120845&substory_index=1 Hope the link works, best captions win a prize. Great day out with the lads.
  11. I can make this one, I shall be at the South side of Erskine bridge for 0930.
  12. Going out in the morning. Will be behind Amaretto in Bridge of Weir for 0930, bike track down to Glengarnock, up over to Blair Road and then return back. Post up up if coming so I do not go elsewhere and leave you waiting.
  13. Fantastic day out with the main bunch, I do hope that I did not hold you up too much. I think I got the best by driving down to the ferry and only cycling the best bits, the 'Director's Cut', the main vision without any added on stuff. Got home to a Sunday roast being cooked, can you get better?
  14. I will not be there for this one, we are off for a break to historic Northumberland. If the castle has survived a few hundred years it will survive an afternoon with my boys... I hope.
  15. I will drive down to the ferry to stay fresh, I work late on the Saturday. That means I have room for one more at either end.
  16. I have some holidays and I want to fill them with some club runs. What are the options for meeting up for this one?
