  1. I have a skinsuit, just not a club one. I will just have a quadruple espresso in the morning and a bowl of sugar to fuel the effort.
  2. I will be there no later than 0945, I am coming straight from the school run so I could be a bit early though not by much. If no one else posts up then we can head off straight away.
  3. That is me entered. I have not yet represented the club at any competition, is there anything I should know?
  4. Time trialling on both Sunday and Tuesday so a gentle cycle is in order. I will be heading out from Erskine and on to BoW for about 0945 (maybe a bit earlier), cycle track to Glengarnock and over to Lugton and return via Paisley. I plan on stopping in Pausley for cake. Post up if coming and where to meet you.
  5. Good luck and remember 'pain is temporary, glory is eternal'.
  6. I will be there, I have the day off work. You do not need a TT bike just somewhere to hide the pain as you ride along.
  7. A great night to taste your blood on the Georgetown Road, nice to see some new faces it was certainly a good buzz. Thanks to Richard for timekeeping, much better than your last prospect on the West Ferry in the rain. Thanks to Iain for pushing me on the course, that was a very quick time and has brought me up the Strava leader board, I am now number 5 in the Wheelers.
  8. Thank you all for another excellent outing.
  9. I have asked for the day off so I hope to be down. I doubt if I will be fast enough so it is a good job I do not have a club skinsuit.
  10. I will be there. Hopefully Team Wheezy will be back together, if not I can ride with just the voices in my head for company.
  11. It's a Chung Run for me this Sunday, I will get you at the bridge. A Crow Road run as well! you are full of surprises.
  12. Celebrate for the schools are back and I can get out cycling instead of listening to the sound of my fromt door being slammed shut every thirty seconds. Meeting at the South end of the Erskine Bridge at 0930h and Taking in the Khyber pass, Blanefield then back over to Carbeth, Croftamie and return through the Vale to the bridge. Restorative cake will be needed at some point. Post up if coming.
  13. Only the beautiful people turned up to ride tonight, with the least glamourous chosen to time keep: this meant we had to keep our own times and giving everyone a chance to ride. A blustery evening with a bit of headwind on the way out that was more of a side swipe on the way back, explanations for this meteorological phenomenon can be answered on a postcard and addressed to my wheelie bin. Times are Team Cowan 19min 56sec Alan and Ross 19min 32sec (Team Brisk?) Alan T 18min 00sec (Team Solo? and he can also make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs) Iain and Gerard 17min 10 sec (Team Wheezy?) No money changed hands so we can pay at our next run.
  14. Congratulations on the Double Arran. Are you already planning your next one?
  15. I am now solo for tonight, so if anyone wants to pair up and stop me feeling lonely and friendless for about seventeen and a half minutes...
  16. Thank you to everyone for a very memorable day out. It was shame to finish with the train, but in the dark with no lights is not sensible so a lesson learned there. Glad to hear you are home safe Boyd, I hope it was the same for everyone else.
  17. I did get those clamps from Evans and they have worked a treat. A bit longer and lower than the old set up so I will need to work out my beat position. I could do with a couple of flush head bolts, if anyone has them.
  18. Have you standing alone, for AT LEAST 25 minutes in the rain. I am not on form as I have been away on holiday and Strava does not cover body boarding. Thank you anyway, I will see you next week.
