  2. Thanks for info Mark, storing the carrier is an issue as live in a flat with not a lot of storage space. I'm thinking a roof carrier would be more suitable at the moment. Cheers
  3. Billy that is defo an option, if I'm going to go for it I'll take you up on offer before I buy, keep you posted, cheers.
  4. Can anyone recommend a good bike carrier for a hatchback? The car is brand new with no roof rails or towbar fitted at the moment. Would prefer the rack to mount 2 or 3 bikes. Cheers
  5. Wow! Stunning bike and meticulous build matey, well done. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
  6. Cheers for help men, its been a very frustrating job but think I'm nearly there.
  7. Cheers Chung, on my lunch break...honest! I crossed my cables before they passed through the cable guide beneath the BB as I thought the front mech cable had to go through guide nearest the crankset, from looking at your pics I think I've got this bit wrong! Sorry mate the pics not very clear but theres no Headtube rub as the cables enter the front and not the side and the "Blob" is the rear brake barrel adjuster.
  8. Cheers Billy, It's been a steep learning curve! I'm now a master with a magnet and bit of tubing! The cables don't have their own channels so my front mech cable (left shifter) is going in the left side of downtube then I've got it crossing the rear mech cable before it passes through cable guide beneath the bottom bracket, I think I might have this bit wrong from looking at Chungs Pics! The cable guide beneath bottom bracket, should my front mech cable run through guide nearest the crankset?
  9. Troops, I'm in the middle of changing my gear cables, they were whipped out a few weeks ago and I can't remember how they entered the downtube. If I route them like the picture below, it looks like the inner cables will have to cross before they go through guide beneath bottom bracket. Does anyone know if this crossing will be a problem?
  10. Yes mate I was looking at that 1. I read some people had problems with the shape of the rails not fitting some clamps properly, any issues?
  11. Ok men I'm nearly there, just need to sort day off from work on the Sunday...
  12. Cheers George, could be a good squad out tomorrow, hope to make it.
  13. George, can you give me your planned route to Largs mate? Might struggle to get to clubrooms for 0930. Cheers
  14. Well said Davie! Hoping to make an appearance.
  15. Anyone free for a spin tomorrow if roads not icy? Thinking about 0930/10 o'clock for a few hours.
