  1. I'll give it a go if its late May (cant make the first 3 weekends unfortunately)
  2. Tough night in the Cs with the talented young guys moving up from the youth races for the new year. Not only are they fast but their racing skills put many of the adults (including myself) to shame. First up was the points, managed to get the first sprint but didnt capitalise on that and didnt get any more points. 2nd was 30 lap scratch - there was a rider off the front with about 4 laps to go and someone started to wind up the sprint to chase him down, i was sitting nicely on his shoulder thinking i was in a good position but he pulled up and i had to go for a long one while he slotted in behind...d'oh! Managed to catch the rider in front but ended up getting overtaken - I thought i held on for 2nd but i dont see my name in the results so maybe not! Last scratch was 20 laps, when the sprint started i tried to come round but ended up just hanging on. I reckon the the next few weeks / months are going to be pretty hard!
  3. C for me, hopefully be able to sign in despite not having the license through the post yet.
  4. Yeah good run today. Pretty miserable weather along the west ferry dont think we'd have got much wetter riding in the clyde!
  5. Good ride today, been a while since ive been up Brisbane Glen that way, it is a nice climb. The Wynn on the other hand isnt, just goes on and on! Sorry Paul i'm probably to blame - i thought i was last getting going again after the bagel basket and that you were up the road with the others - wasnt until i caught up at the turn that i realised you werent there.
  6. Found it tough, been coughing since the finish! I think both teams did pretty well, the technical parts like the start and the changes seemed decent without having done a pursuit before. It is a pity its just a once a year thing, would be good to have the occassional pursuit mixed into a track league night every few weeks.
  7. Just got an email saying the racing starts at 6.30pm tomorrow. Distance is 3000 metres. Fastest 2 in each group go through to a final 3rd and 4th for bronze. The Johnstone Gentlemen Riders have got a tough draw by the looks of things!
  8. Axel Rose Merckx Marianne Bros Laurens 10cc Dam
  9. Yeah enjoyable run today, felt quite good up until just before the turn off the A8 for Bishopton then the man with the hammer paid a visit. Was struggling to get over 12mph going round the airport into the wind.
  10. Is this it? http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/zuvvi/media/Pies_and_Pursuit_entry_form_2013_a.xls
  11. Good night in the Cs. 32 lap Points race to start and Alan was off the front for a fair bit of that and managed to stay away with another rider for one of the sprint laps (maybe even two?) with the bunch chasing hard. Paul and Billy scored some points too. My legs felt good but i ended up thinking about making a move rather than doing it. Next up 30 lap scratch and some team tactics...well executed by everyone apart from me as another rider got inbetween myself and Alan when moving to the front as Billy was putting in a monster effort. After that a 20 lap scratch and the tactics worked this time and i got the win. However we all ended up getting a warning for riding as a team afterwards. Oops! Anyway thanks for the help, not sure what i did to deserve it but it was much appreciated
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhabgvIIXik Some incredible riding - great advert for Colnago and Vision wheels standing up to this sort of stuff too.
  13. Good ride, weather was poor obviously but it didnt feel too bad apart from 10 minutes after the cafe stop and trying to get warm again.
  14. Anyone planning on having a practice pursuit session before the 18th?
  15. Another enjoyable but tough night. Points race managed to get one of the sprints but nowhere on the others. Usual story of the points race for me! Next was a 30 lap scratch was moderate speed at the start then really fast in the middle but managed to avoid doing anything, found myself nicely placed towards the end when the sprint started and managed to get the win. Second scratch was 20 laps - about half way through a VCGS rider shouted go at me as we had a slight gap off the front so i listened and we went and started to work together - i then came to my senses just before my legs gave up so sat up, and went back in the group then managed to sneak a 3rd. Coming out the building at the end with the wind and rain just reminded me why i like the velodrome on winter nights so much!
  16. Thanks for the work Mark. Probably wont make next Thursday so if anyone who is trying the stuff on could compare sizing to the current Endura that would be helpful. Looking at their website Pactimo offer a team store option which looks quite convienient for ordering, may save a bit of the hassle involved for those of you organising the order.
  17. Hope to enter I think last year it sold out shortly (maybe a week or two) after the general entry opened, however nearer the time they started accepting entries again.
  18. Another hard but enjoyable night, managed to get a couple of thirds in the scratch races so pretty pleased with that. Was nowhere in the points race - 32 laps with sprints every 4 so was hard going.
  19. Thanks for your efforts Chung. As an aside - on the slightly older tops (that are still roughly the same design as the newer ones) what does the eye symbol represent?
  20. I'd be interested in the Equipe short sleeve top which has the lycra side and sleeves. However there is a 5 order minimum on these and dont know if anyone else is interested? btw is it a new design or are we sticking with the current?
