  1. Getting vaccine later today so couldn't commit to Wanlockhead ride, would be up for it another time though.
  2. Tonights times Scott - 18.02 Alan - 18.35 Gerard - 17.33 James - 17.10
  3. I’ll try and make it along - will meet at bridge though
  4. Good turnout today for the mural unveiling - after that a ride over the Crow and then a loop through Killearn and Strathblane and back to the start. I’d like the record to state i was joint first to the top of the Crow - beating everyone else including the former Tour de France polka dot jersey winner in the process. A show of strength from Scotlands premier cycling club to the watching media.....I may have started 5 minutes before everyone else but it still counts 🤣
  5. Cheers Kenny With that line up i'll be needing to bring my 5 spoke and disc
  6. Thats a cracking result in a great field! 21mm tubs on that gravel. Chapeau! I wouldn't even like riding 21 on normal roads these days
  7. Were you on 23c tyres for it? Couple of years since i was down that way but i remember there being a couple of bits that were a bit sketchy with 40c on!
  8. Just watching yesterdays stage in the Giro with the gravel roads got me thinking - did any of you race the Davie Bell RR back in the day? Seems to have been years ahead of time (while simultaneously also being a throwback to an earlier era!) with the section along Carrick Forrest Drive and was a long standing and prestigious race in the Scottish calendar - however doesn't seem to have run for now for years.
  9. If needing some more numbers would it be possible to have some guest riders too? Know quite a few track regulars who would be more than happy to make up the numbers if there is some space
  10. Going to give it a month or so...dont feel ready for racing yet
  11. More than ok to do it on a road bike It's roughly this course https://www.strava.com/segments/1287678
  12. Passed through Bishopton earlier and there were paramedics plus police tending to a cyclist that had been hit by a car or van (across from Bishopton Inn). Looked pretty serious but i think the cyclist was conscious at least. It looked like a TT bike so there is a fair chance they are a member of one of the local clubs or likely to be known by someone...hopefully quick recovery for whoever it was and best wishes. Stay safe out there!
  13. 7 years ago...time flies! Bit scary how i can recall details of a ride from that far ago - i remember being pleased to break 8 minutes for the first time up the Clune that night
  14. Tonights results - Jamie with the win and i think also PBs for this TT series for Eric and big Al. Well done! Jamie - 9:20.5 Me - 9:25.1 Richie - 9:52.4 Eric - 10:17.4 Alan T - 10:33.0 Alan C - 10:41.0
