Hi Glen thank you so much for organising this. I’ve emailed a few photos over. Arran and Ayrshire Alps 2016. I’m afraid I will not be back next week for funeral but will be raising a glass and having a rather large breakfast in honour. Andy

One of the finest moments. The day Darryl went down on Arran (sorry D). Alex and I encountered a brand new breed to us. Cockerpoos! Alex went out and got one the very next day. For anyone who follows his Instagram see many pics of Ziggy. Anyway my point is Alex didn’t feck about. He went out there and grabbed life by the baws. May he long be an example to us all! so so sad tonight

I’m so very sorry to read this news. Like others I only knew Alex on the bike. He was a massive character solid to the core, a strong rider, and always good humoured and could fairly pack away a couple of big breakfasts too! I’ve very much missed his company on the bike and will continue to.

Charlie this looks like a great route and I suspect that after the exertions of the Munt, the Bison will want to invite us to his ranch for a big breakfast and freshly brewed coffee before we take on the Geniffer Braes. Hope to make it if other plans haven’t been made for me andy

Well done guys. I stayed local and headed down to the cx in Irvine. Was really lucky with weather full sun until Lochlibo Road where I got caught in a blizzard. Then the sun came back so not so bad in the end except I couldn’t feel toes or fingers :-D

General consensus seems to be against so will stay local today. Let’s hope next week brings sun!
