GrahamF reacted to Dave C in Sunday 30th Sept. 30 miler
Thanks to Graham for the route yesterday although still cleaning the mud off the bikes from the farm watch lanes.
Good to see two newbies in Linda and Carol in a bunch of 8 and then 7 as Boyd left early.
Also thanks to Chung for helping with the puncture to Carol ( Mrs C) on the track home. 45 miles in total.

GrahamF got a reaction from chung in Sunday 30th Sept. 30 miler
I plan on being out for a 30(ish) mile run his week, no particular route in mind and happy to choose one on the day based on the weather and who's there.
I'm anticipating two new lady members, so it will be good to have a good turnout to meet them.
Start 09:00 at Miller Street, Johnstone.

Jane and I are planning on going on the tandem at our own speed, we'll not be at Amaretto but hope to meet up at the Bagel Basket.

I should be there to slow everybody else down.

GrahamF reacted to BoydJohnston in Sunday 16th Sept. Intermediates - Rothesay via Three Ferries
Sorry, Graham. I would have come down, but I've got to go to Bathgate to help out with some babysitting, so I'll be cycling in the other direction tomorrow.
My son in Bathgate is getting married on the 6th October, so family preparations are in full swing and my life is not my own at the moment - though I did get to play golf today while the boss was returning about five dresses to Silverburn.

GrahamF reacted to Alan McLean in Relieving professionals of KOMs
Hi
Some of the local climbs have been totally bossed by Quick Step etc on Strava. I am looking at The Full Carruthmuir aka. Phil's Folly and I've seen others.
can I suggest that during the winter gales (we'll need storm force tailwinds ) we make club efforts to get one of these back.
I would like to imagine Wout van Aert or GVA receiving the "Uh oh, Galeb/Paul/Ian has just taken your KOM etc..." message. (I would also like to think they might just pop back to regain their Kom). Perhaps they weren't really trying but I think they were.
I will volunteer to lead out for, oooh, first 20 seconds.
Anyone got a list of likely segments?
Alan

GrahamF reacted to AlanT in Joe Brunetti Hill Clmb championship, Sunday 7th October
Ladies and gentlemen, the final confined event of the season, the Joe Brunetti Hill Climb championship. This is a whole club event, with the Elliston Castle Road being closed for the duration of the event, so a good turnout is appreciated.
In recent years the main club has gone off first, then stayed around afterwards to cheer on the Jets, and this year should be no exception. Following the event, riders can go off on runs to suit their ability and leg conditions.
First rider off at 10:30, registration from 10:00
Please note that I have a copy of the Road Closure notice, which I will be putting up on site in the coming week.

Big tailwind to Bathgate this morning, and only a couple of showers. Big benefit not doing an 'out and back' route.

GrahamF reacted to Gerard Deeley in Georgetown cup 8th September 2018
Yes it was me, purple is this year's colour. Just loved doing the whole tandem thing, if anyone gets the chance you need to give it a go.

GrahamF got a reaction from AlanT in Tuesday 31st July 2-up TT
Who else is coming out to join in the 2 up fun - with the added incentive of an opportunity for refreshments afterwards?
It's an opportunity for those yet to have a go at time trials to give it a try, including new members.
-
GrahamF reacted to Gerard Deeley in Tuesday 31st July 2-up TT
Graham will be the captain and I am the stoker on Charlotte the tandem. Thinking we should call ourselves team Staying Upright For Few Extreme Runs (S.U.F.F.E.R.).

GrahamF got a reaction from Richard in Tuesday 17th July Lochlibo Road
If this does go ahead I'll timekeep, then those who want to are free to ride.
