  1. Hi Greig, I'll be out also, looking for some gentle exercise, not to much rain and maybe a coffee stop! Graham.
  2. Hi Greig, I'll be there too. Look forward to seeing you at 0900. Graham.
  3. Looks like a good route Tony. I like the idea of bailout options, and the option of calling at the cafe at Kilmaurs! See you at 9:15 Graham.
  4. Thanks all for a good run and the motivation (& energy boost Boyd) to keep going. I recorded 62 miles by the time I got home! Think i need to get out for some midweek training in preparation for next Sunday..... Graham.
  5. Hi , I plan to be there also, looks like a good run for a sunny day! Graham.
  6. Hi Tony, That would suit me fine, we could see how many 30 milers appear and take a vote on how far to go at the time! I'll aim to be at Miller St. for 9:15. Graham.
  7. Any 30 milers coming out for a ride this week? Graham.
  8. I'm being encouraged to get out the house for Mother's Day, so I have found the route below posted by Tony C in 2007 as a suggestion. It avoids most challenging hills! 37 miles in all. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1293515 Happy to do an alternative route if I'm outvoted, but is anyone else wanting some exercise on what looks like it will be the sunniest day of the weekend? 9:30 at Miller St. Graham.
  9. Hi, Ken, It looks like it might be a quiet ride, but I plan to be out and give you some company. Weather look favourable so it should be a good day. Graham.
  10. I'm game for the 9 o'clock start. Not been out with the club for a while due to a combination of other commitments and adverse weather, but it looks OK for Sunday at the moment. 70 miles sounds a long way for the 30 milers, but with determination and teamwork we might make it! Graham.
  11. Hi the forecast looks to windy for me so I don't think I'll be out for 9:30. But you should be aware that the road from Lochwinnoch to Kilmacolm has been closed for roadworks last week and may still be. The work is near the very top of John's Hill, just before the right turn down towards Howood. The road closed signs are only as you go out of Lochwinnoch with the diversion being the right turn at that point to Howood which would involve a lot more hill! During the week it was possible to get through the roadworks on a bike - but you have been warned..... See you when the weather is favourable! Graham.
  12. Hi, I've got a new winter jacket to try out - so I reckon the weather is going to be just right! I opted for discretion last week, but this week I'm going for valour! 9:30 at the club rooms in Miller St. is the start time for the 30 milers. Don't mind what the route is, but would like a warm cafe at around half way. Graham.
  13. I'm planning to be out - looking forward to a good run! Graham.
  14. I'm planning to be there - and looking forward to the coffee stop already!!! Graham.
  15. Looks like its going to be a nice morning - count me in, I look forward to seeing you all at 9:30. Graham.
  16. Hi Folks, I'm planning to be out on Sunday, weather permitting! See you at 9:00, looking forward to a good run. Graham.
  17. If I remember rightly, last year they had the 100 milers set off before the main ride, I think it was between 7:00 and 7:30. I recall having to buy some lights as to get there on time we had to leave home before dawn! (Dawn this year will be about 06:10) I expect it will be similar this year but they only told us that bit after we had committed to go! Graham.
  18. Any 30 milers up for doing 4, 25 mile runs in the same day? I did it by tandem last year, I've just looked up the time, 8 Hr 34 Mins, but we weren't rushing and enjoyed the food stops! Its a fun day out and last year the weather was wonderful! Graham.
  19. I'd like to do Arran, but can't do the 18th as I'm committed to going curling that day. My vote would be for the 4th or the 25th for Arran. If anyone fancies a go at curling let me know - it's a fun activity for dark winter evenings! Graham.
  20. Thanks Greig for planning a the route, as it turned out the weather wasn't to bad. Looking forward to the 30 milers Arran trip!!! Graham.
  21. Hi, Is there room for a newby, I should be OK for 30 miles but the challenge might be keeping up! See you at the 9:30 in the morning... Graham.
