you can start training early...Tesco now stocking Westmalle Dubbel, unfortunately don't seem to be dubbeling up with the Tripel.
Delirium also available ...lovely.
......I guess Bonnie Tyler can stop looking.
I may be bald but I will not fight over a comb. For the record I walked ...also never finished that daft Marmotte thing but then again I never stopped for afternoon tea half way up the Tourmalet either.
Andy, no worries the coast road is not my thing as you know.
Ginty, as above was considering trying to meet the rest of the bunch in Largs or thereabouts but still in the house, will probably head to Parkhill woods with cross bike for a couple of hours.
Anybody fancy a run to Largs on one of the more pleasant routes Howood, past the big stone to take you out above Lochwinnoch, Waterside onto Greenock Road, Loch Thom, Largs for cafe stop. Free choice of route home.
0930 at club rooms and positive verification if you are turning up. Weather watch in force nearer the weekend.
Apologies Alan, to be honest I was running late in any event and would never had made the club rooms for 0930. Glad you got a decent run out anyway.
As Charlie says now that the drum-up is out the way things should return to whatever passes as normal at the Johnstone Wheelers.
Will be going.
Still to book everything but plan on taking ferry on the Wednesday night and then cycling down to Gulpen over two days and will meet you Friday.
Davie will still need a lift back...
Andy, if nobody else posts as interested we can skip Bowfield and head to Lugton off the back of the Barrmill circuit. Will check later tonight and text in the morning.....
Ahhhhh!
....I had actually been on Air BNB .....it seemingly throws up different results when I try it but I fully accept it is just me....I will check them out.
Ta.
Aye.....have been on the B&B NL site and seem to have exhausted the possibilities......considered camping for all of 30 seconds and reckon that the "commune" 35 minutes hike out of Valkenberg may not be my cup of tea or me theirs...
cold and wet, not the best day to be out with only a gabba short sleeve top but to be fair it did the trick until the coastal run to Largs and was only cold for a short time. Was perished in the B basket so getting back on the bike was a bit of a relief. Worse than the weather were the drivers along the coast road..beyond bonkers and a reminder of why I generally stick to back roads.
Chung hope you did not suffer too much with the extra miles involved in getting back home and felt a wee bit guilty dragging you so far out. Another reminder to ignore BBC weather.
I usually wing it a bit, but for clarity.
Bowfield, Lugton, Stewarton, Torranyard, Benslie, Killwinning, Largs, Brisbane, Whin, home - loads of bailouts for anybody time constrained.
