  1. Totally unfit at mo, so will have to get some solo training in before coming out of hibernation in the spring/summer.
  2. One of the routes i cycle through to Kirkcaldy takes me over Erskine bridge, Milngavie, past Murray Park, Kirkintulloch, Kilsyth, Falkirk, Linlithgow, towards Forth bridge, you would then make for Crammond and along the South side of Forth onwards to Leith, Portobello and Musselburgh. Plenty nice coffee shops in Linlithgow which would probably be about half way.
  3. Yip great run in great weather. First group ride in ages and it showed, your hard training sessions are paying dividends. Thanks for the tow at various stages. West Ferry seemed a long way, almost empty. James
  4. I'll meet up at south side of bridge, what's your eta there? James
  5. If a decent night and dry roads i think i'll give it a go. Got some rides in on holiday, so although not 100% able to get on drops ok, might need the bail out though.

    Spied a Wheeler

Not fit for work for another 4-6 weeks but took bike on hols and got in some rides so thought could brave Scottish roads.
  7. I'll be there to pick up new kit, so happy to lend Ramsay a hand. James
  8. Sounds like a good enough idea, what do you think Charlie? Could we get enough riders and support drivers/riders to maybe do it with a minibus? Thinking if we had 6-8 doing whole thing and 2-3 part riding, part support we could hire 16 seat minibus and still be able to fit in bikes and bags? Possibly mid-late June, or Aug-early Sept 2012?
  9. Hi, Noticed from my earlier JOGLE post that there is a bit of interest for an end to end from a few others. Who else is interested? What direction? When, and how? Obviously despite my collar bone trouble i'm up for anytime, maybe late summer this year or would those interested rather leave it to 2012? I was doing it as part of a mass participation event, which although expensive did mean all aspects except the actual pedalling where taken care of. Been looking online for mass events and only one's i've found so far are taking a bit too many days to complete. I'll start off possibilities with: Fri 26th Aug travel to JOG, Sat 27th-Sat 2nd Sept, 8 rides of 110-120 miles, Sun 3rd travel home from LE, 5 days off work. This plan would work best if we could maybe involve a support car, minibus and riders/drivers who could maybe ride half days or alternative days. What thoughts anybody else? James
  10. Jann, Will pay you on uplift, anytime suits, i've got plenty spare time on my hands for a few weeks at least. James
  11. Charlie having only gotten half-way definetly will need to do it again.
  12. Bikes fine as far as i can see except for few scuff on levers i think. Body took most of it before bike did a few more summersaults down hill. It was one of those crashes that would have made for a good video.
  13. I clipped a step in different road heights through a section of roadworks falling solo, but it spooked another guy who i was passing who came down as well but he was going slowly and was ok.
  14. Hi, End of the road on Day 5 i'm afraid, had a high speed crash coming down Shap Fell, resulting in broken collar bone and some road rash. Thought i'd got away with only some road rash as it didn't feel bad at all, only when i ran hand over bone that i knew it was broke. Gutted that it happened in something like this, but with the state of helmet it might have been worse. James
