Got forks but the frame is cracked, so I’m back to drawing board looking for whole bike. Thanks for offer though. Al

Al reacted to BoydJohnston in Sunday 28th April - anyone out?
I hope to be out, but I'll probably meet at the top of the Bowfield climb, rather than going to the Miller St. Don't wait if I'm not there.

Had a wee run in with a car on my commute home from work yesterday, spent most of last night in the hospital getting checked out, X-rays show no broken bones, so no lasting damage, just pretty sore, mainly my back, with a few other minor injuries, so won’t make it out this weekend ..

It all started with 7 heading out of Miller Street, but by the time we got to the top of the Braes, only 5 left :-0
So, Andrew, David, Mark, Martin & myself carried on with David's original posted route, only for his Garmin to totally failed & end up we just kind of making it up as we went along. We had to be very mindful of the ice on a lot of the back roads that we were going through, well at least it was quiet :-)
Cafe stop in Stewarton - Mill House & Mark departed to head home afterwards while the 4 of us went searching for more headwind! By the way, tail wind is over hyped & so last year :-)
No mechanical to speak of as we all maintain our bikes properly in this group :-)
Made it home with my legs just about intact, just polished off a plate of Fish & Chips, oven baked of course, none of that fry stuff, I am an athlete after all! :-)
Looking forward to the 1st Reliability next Sunday & thanks for the wheels & company today folks!
Cheers
Chung

Big thanks to everyone for waiting on me, really appreciated and still had a great run and coffee stop even if the wind was ‘interesting’ at times.
I’ll get out myself this week and hopefully be bit fitter next week
cheers

Al got a reaction from PaulL in SOLD - Boardman Pro 29er MTB £400ovno
Boardman Pro 29er Mountain bike. 2015 model, see specs below. Medium size. Saddle height setup for me at 5’11”. Bike only used 6 times, so in immaculate condition. It has a KS Lev DX dropper post (at extra cost, see below) and will come with standard post too. I’ve not removed the dropper as the cable has been routed very neatly under bottom of bike and up down-tube with other cables. The tyres still have tiny wee nobble lines on them as in photo, showing how little use it’s had. I’ve put slime inner tubes on bike too. I bought a fat bike quite soon after this one, hence lack of use. I’m looking for v near £400 without the dropper post or £525 with the dropper, as Dropper costs over £200 new. Al reacted to Paul C in Specialized Alley Sport - good starter bike or swap
Hi, Al,
My neighbour over the road is thinking of changing from hybrid to road having seen me going out in my Wheelers gear on my road bikes. I will have a word with him and get back to you.
My winter bike is a 2003 Specialized Allez Sport and it has done good service for me.

Al,
Spoke to my neighbour and he is def interested.
I gave him your number. His name is Ian Murray. He is 5-11'' so it should fit him.
