Weather permitting, I'm planning to host my first Breeze cycle ride this Sunday. If you know any beginners or people who haven't been out on their bike for a while, it's only 8 miles.  (ladies only)

Anyone riding Etape on Sunday?

Are you interested in track cycling? Looking at running a women-only session at Caird Park on Saturday 23rd April 1-4:00. The main aim will be to encourage Newbies to track cycling to enter the open event on Sunday 29th May at Caird Park.

The session will also be helpful to those wishing to dust down their track bikes helps bring others along as well!

There is a limited supply of bikes available for the training and the race if required.

PM Martin Harris on FB, and HE will set up a Spond group to keep everyone informed about what is happening.

For those champing at the bit, there will be a regular Tuesday evening session from 18:30 until 20:00. Coached led racing/fitness by stealth.

Funding has been secured from the Scottish Cycling Springboard fund, so the sessions and the races will go ahead.

A mention for Johnstone Wheelers 😁

Saw signs on the cycle track today showing a small section of cycle track will be closed from 16th Oct for 12 weeks while work is done on the bridge.

It's at Barochan Road which is on the section between Brookfield and Linwood.

Must have been a day for punctures. I only did 20 miles along cycle track and passed 5 different folk fixing punctures.

It was one lane on the approach to Newark roundabout (the turn) when I was on way to work at 11am.

I should have plotted the route last night. I went on a tour of the shire on some pretty decent tarmac.

Cycle track from home to the club, Bowfield, Greenacres, Lugton, Gateside, Barrmill, military road, got to Dalry bypass and couldn't work out which direction to go, jumped onto NCR 7 to Kilwinning. Came back via NCR 7 was tempted to stop at Auchengree, carried on to Lochwinnoch where I stopped for refreshments. Then over the hill from Lochwinnoch to Kilmacolm.

54 miles for me.

Specialised Allez 52cm.  Belongs to a friend of mine, hardly used since he bought it / moved in with his girlfriend 😃

I can't be there on the day. It's the same day as rearranged date for etape Loch Ness.
