Planning an SA attempt this Saturday, departing 7am ferry and wondering if a 5th person wants to join the run - possibly a new candidate for the Hall of Fame or someone wanting to relive their finest hour As most will know the challenge is 2hours 45 mins at 20mph average on the coastal circuit which is 'lumpy' and 'interesting'. Reason I say 5th person is with current guidelines any more would be inappropriate. The normal return is 11.05am but we have booked the 12.30 in case we miss the boat and the later ones get fully booked. So far we have 4 tickets (you have to book the ferry in advance now), myself, Jan, Andy G and my daughter Laura. Plan is to start and finish as a team and I really appreciate Jan and Andy's support with the pacing strategy, ride at a pace fast enough to complete the challenge but not going for the segment type eyeballs out approach, and hopefully get Laura inducted as first female into the most Glorious Hall of Fame.
  5. That'd be great if they were workable Martin thanks
  6. Evening folks I wondered if anyone had roof bar fittings similar to picture attached. I am looking for 2 more sets to borrow from 23rd to 30th July please. They fit on to roof bars and clamp the front fork. Last time I used these was for the drive to Flanders in 2011 for an epic Ronde thanks Paul
  7. Yip, was like a cyclist Mecca today, felt a bit sorry for any non cycling customers !
  8. Hope everyone is keeping well in these strange times, With the new guidelines, I am meeting Andy G tomorrow in Dalry at 9.30 and heading through Lochwinnoch - Kilmacolm road - left turn before Kilmacolm - Greenock - Loch thom - BB (maybe - there were cyclists sitting outside today, looked busy though) then back via Heely or W Kilbride. Company most welcome up to 5 max as that is how we interpret guidelines (first come first serve don't all rush 🤣) Please note we are not wearing club kit just to avoid any misunderstandings. cheers
  9. you've just increased the suspense …. you're such a tease

🤥Thanks George, appreciate your comforting words, I feel like I've lost a limb. However, I'm sure we will be back horsing it round the Thursday night route and Arran in the Autumn
  11. Eh Alan, the idea is that you need to win the previous round to post the photo for the next round Nice photos though
  12. Iain I am going to fess up. I rode by this spot last night with the intention of taking a photo as I had a good idea where it was. However just before I got there I met Jamie Thompson and we were blethering, from different sides of the road of course, and we passed to spot. Long story short, I stuck bike in car last night and took this picture on my way to work this morning. So I would be happy for you to take the glory and post the next picture !
  13. Nice one, pretty sure I know but I am not going to get out tonight (said that last night too)
  14. So here is the next one - a bit trickier perhaps but I reckon a good few will know it, as for Alan and his cryptic 395573 number - is this an OS map reference or the cost of his Zwift set up ?
  15. Thanks Jan, you inspired me to go out tonight for an unplanned ride
  16. I think I know where it is - but won't get out on bike till at least tomorrow night...….
