  3. Kenny I have a pair of very large warm ski gloves - your welcome to have, but no salopettes or jacket PMcD
  4. For Martin Keir Martin - Kenny mentioned that if you have a list of the children it would assist in something to do with lottery funding. I have put this message on the bunch in case anyone else managed to miss Kenny's earlier note on the subject like I did. Anyway my 2 cycling bambino's are; Emma age 9 and Laura age 6 - both obviously same address as me. PMcD
  5. Kenny Will be there 11am - will bring spirt level, pinch bar, spade etc in case they are reqd. PMcD
  6. Myself and Mark plan to do an hour at Glengarnock on Thursday night 7.30pm. Anyone welcome to join us - post a note if you plan to be there. PMcD
  7. Thanks Darryl - see you at BIH 10am PMcD
  8. Guys In no way to detract from the regular Sunday bunch which is the heart of the club, I thought I would mention as a one off alternative that I am doing a final holiday round the coast run on Sunday morning passing BOW garage at 9.30am. Feel free to join me PMcD
  9. An excellent run was had by Paul McS, Stevie B and PMcD. We met up with Mark and Darryl on the run from Largs to Kilbirnie as well. It was like a calm summers day in Largs 8) 8) (temperature aside), sea was still, there were boats, prams, weans, dugs and old folks milling about - it was quite surreal but not complaining it was brilliant for cycling. Whatever happened to the driving rain and sleet we need to toughen us up?? WHAT ABOUT NEXT THURSDAY - ANY TAKERS FOR GLENGARNOCK 7.30PM? PMcD
  10. I might not be able to make Saturday so I intend to do this run on Friday - I will go via BOW garage at 9.30am Friday if anyone fancies making a new year resolution to give it the coast on 2nd January. PMcD
  11. Similar to last Saturday myself (and probably Darryl - birth permitting!! -) plan to meet at BOW garage at 9.30am for a round the coast BASE TRAINING WINTER RUN . Steady to Heely, a wee blast up , regroup and ride back . All welcome. We had 5 last week - those who were 'definites' but did not show shall remain nameless!! Also - Glengarnock - from Thursday 8th January. A show of names please as it was only Dougy da Rosa and meeself in December. Kenny - the Houston circuit sounds interesting, if its more convenient for more people then we could move Thursday nights there too - I'll play it by ear. PMcD
  12. Many apologies for the confusion - I wrote Saturday 28th when of course Saturday was 27th Anyway - 5 participants - Darryl, Stuart D, Davy (McKellar?), Sean and meeself got round the coast with not a drop of rain or sleet - this was a very pleasant surprise because when I left Lochwinnoch at 9am I had to cycle along the main street through about 1/2 inch of slush!! which then disappeared once up the Johnshill. It was an excellent run. With the grim weather forecast for Monday I propose Tuesday 1.30pm at Howwood Inn for 2 / 2.5 hours of BASE TRAINING WINTER RUNS round Beith - Kilwinning etc. Any takers? :? PMcD
  13. Sean Planned route is down the Clune and round the Cloch like you say hope to see you PMcD
  14. The BOW garage is at the end of the B790 Houston road 'T' junction where it intersects with the A761 BOW - Kilmacolm road. It's right in the centre of BOW. Got 7 so far - hope to see a few of you on Saturday. A very merry Christmas PMcD ps - I asked Santa for ksyrium's and I've been very very good so I'm hopeful
  15. Its Christmas and I hope you all have a merry one Time to be thinking about the steady winter miles - I'm sure it was uppermost on all your minds. Anyway last year JIm B, Ian M, Darryl and I had a few runs leaving Bridge of Weir garage at 9.30am and going steady round the coast to Largs, then hard up the Heely, regroup and ride back in. Average about 18mph. It was excellent in the cold dry days last Christmas. So all are welcome - I propose Saturday 28th as a first one. Anyone up for it? PMcD
  16. Looks excellent - is there a category for "nearly a vet?" I will definetly be doing some PMcD
  17. Short sleeve jersey size 4 please thanks PMcD
  18. Looks like less interest in a December start this year so Mr Da Rosa and myself took an executive decision :? to postpone till new year. PMcD
  19. Is anyone up for a couple of Thursday nights before XMAS :?: Can we have a show of hands for Thursday 4th December at 7.30pm Glengarnock - I'll be there if a few others are interested Paul McD
  20. Due to popular demand the Thursday nights are back, propose first date of 4th December. For the uninitiated the script is 45 mins of steady brisk tempo :? with maybe a wee 10 min wind up at the end. I mentioned to one or two that it might be more convenient for more people if we could find a location in Linwood - Inchinnan industrial esate areas. If anyone knows of a circuit which could meet the following criteria then lets give it a try. Key features of Glengarnock are 1 mile circuit - good for taking a lap out, joining after puncture etc. Fully lit by street lights Practically no traffic Flat  Safe for bunch - no sharp corners - plenty visibility etc So - who's up for 7.30pm Dec 4th :?: PMcD
  21. 17th or 24th Jan is good as december is awfy busy!!
