Great to see so many out tonight. Top night for it. Can't recommend the Thursday night bunch enough, get out early season and get those legs going. An added bonus of Ian Archibald having peaked in January once again, get out and see him getting dropped on the GT. A sight to behold! M

For your interest, the 2019 Road Word Championships are happening in Yorkshire in September. A supporting sportive is being held around that time (22nd September) with some common roads. Here's a side by side comparison of the routes. Both look good, but in my opinion the Etape du Dales is better value (cheaper), more challenging (longer, more climbing) and more interesting. Still 64 places left for Etape du Dales, while the Yorkshire sportive is sold out, with only lottery places remaining. Come along - you know it makes sense.

With Arran activity for 2019 commencing next Saturday 20th April, it is time to see the Hall of Fame updated for 2018 challenge successes. Hopefully more attempts and new hall of Fame entries in 2019

I thought that was pretty smooth tonight, and I thought the pace was sensible until I looked at my data when I got home. Much, much happier with that tonight, after the embarrassment of getting dropped on the Georgetown last week.

Great turn out tonight and very enjoyable (came 3rd in sprint after taking the short-cut). Marc Kelly has even less shame, taking the short cut and winning the sprint. Bah! Anyway seems there are people not happy with who we ride with and what we say in the JWCC, however I'm hoping the Thursday group can stay a broad church and cope with some levity. Meantime going to ban myself from the Sewing Bee and Sunday groups (before I get banned). Be sad if Thursday nights went the same way as the official club rides. Excellent night. Cheers

Yup, thanks Scott. The Etape du Dales is a great route. The trip is shaping up to be another super JWCC day out. If you’re free on the 19th May, why not join us? Hopefully the new kit will be ready for us to fly the colours in Englandshire.
